Video: “What Cookies Look Like Around the World” East and Southeast Asia: are we a joke to you? Edit: okay I thought that this was obvious but apparently I have to clarify that this comment is lighthearted and just a joke. So please don’t leave any rude replies. And if you did, then oh no.

I mean, we aren't renowned for our cookie desserts. We have sweet rice cakes, which are super good, moon cakes, sweet breads, and other assortments of cakee. I'm sure there are types of cookies, but I don't tend to eat them.

K3RA - B1NE what they mean is that all of the countries they spoke about were clustered in certain parts of the world, and regions like eastern europe and southeastern/eastern asia were not covered at all. regarding traveling the world, i don’t think they had to travel around the world to make an informational video about cookies. even if they did, given that they are a food channel, they should be putting in the money to stay true to their claims, this really isn’t “across the world.”
@uuurettererreeeer4 жыл бұрын
emilia sato They should’ve at least included 6 more countries then but they can’t afford to see every cookie in the existence of ever, besides, a lot of countries cookie choices are the same so why would you go to two countries to see the same cookie?

K3RA - B1NE i see what you mean that it’s expensive, and i’m not saying that they would have to travel to EVERY country or eat EVERY cookie, ( they might just be researching cookies, not even traveling) but they should be more inclusive of all parts of the world. i’m sure each country could have at least one unique cookie, but again, good point.

They are not in the UK we only do have cookies as well as but in the UK a cookie is a TPYE of biscuit and do NOT consider biscuit an alternate word for cookie. in the UK we only classify biscuits with chocolate chips or nut and raisin chips as cookies not everything on the list including biscuits with cream or jams or whatever else sandwiched between them are NOT cookies they are biscuits (even cookies are but they are a category of biscuit and in the UK we call biscuits by the type of biscuit not just biscuit anyway unless there is a variety of them) everything classified as a cookie by Americans we consider a biscuit but we ALMOST AWAYS call the biscuit by its name not by the term biscuit. For example that Austrian jam sandwich biscuit is similar to a thing in the UK we call Jammie Dodgers we never call it a cookie and don't usually refer to it as a biscuit unless we are talking about different types of biscuits in general and would use it more like a general term not a specific one

Refrain from mocking others. About mocking / name calling / making fun of others, the Quranic verse 11 of Sura Al-Hujaraat of the Holy Qur’an, Allah says: “O you who have true faith, do not let men make fun of other men - perhaps they may be better than the other (group of men). Also, do not let women make fun of other women, as it may be that they are better than the other (group of) women…” And in the same verse it says “…and do not defame one another by using bad names.” This presenter in trying her best to pronounce it. Because it says ‘fitr’, she probably tried to pronounce it as ‘Fitahr’. She tried her best. There are probably many words in other languages that you cannot pronounce correctly either.
