I do think Nintendo will definitely capitalise off of the Direct format when promoting Switch 2. Directs have majorly changed the way Nintendo broadcasts announcements and is such a successful format that the rest of the industry is trying to imitate it. They’re even promoting physical venues and movies using the direct format, so why waste money on physical conferences?

Flying out devs does not equal a public reveal occurring any time soon. It doesn't mean anything until it shows up as something tangible. This continues to be the problem with the leak scene. It can't ALL be true otherwise the leaks from the past 4 years would have told us something, and they've barely told us anything. Also again, the Sony pre-order will have a fractional impact, if any, on Switch 2 sales. Switch 2 is both coming next year as we know, Nintendo don't care about Sony competition and haven't for generations, and the PS5 Pro is also for a different demographic. No one who wants the very best gaming graphics is going to settle on a Switch 2, they just want a better more performant Switch. If they think the Switch 2 is in any way going to give technical quality that hits PS5 Pro, let alone the base PS5, they are sorely mistaken. Its also a leap that clearing out September means a reveal. Because Zelda AND clearly them showing something to devs has occupied September. So thats two things right there that can explain the need to keep September clear. This could be the thing in September that was supposedly going to happen. You need developers to prep games for the next gen, but you don't need them to reveal a console. Lets not forget that even the supposed leak of a september reveal came with vague words like "I think" and non-comital date ranges. There's just been too many stretches being made by people. It could happen, but anything could happen, and that doesn't make it solid. You see that clearly after following the industry for 40 years. Worth noting that Nintendo totally show off consoles in their "directs". Its a semantic argument to claim their reveal of the Switch wasn't a direct simply because it wasn't called a Direct. The only consoles that have been revealed while they were doing Directs WAS the Switch (Base, Lite and OLED). The WIIU and 3DS were revealed on stage because they weren't entirely doing Directs back then. So it is more than likely it'll be a direct in structure and in name. You've givena. lot of food for thought mind you. The more stable reported elements are incredibly interesting.

With players waiting the next console to play the new title ? I don't know, it is pretty risky move, with zero gain. I think they can wait January to announce it. Current world sales are 141 millions, and the biggest console sales ever done are PS2 with 155 millions. The switch can be the best selling platform of all time if they can sell 14 millions of this console. That's really tempting, to make the console enter history!

I don't think Echoes of Wisdom is a game that will make many people think "Oh, this game could look so much better on the Switch 2, I'm gonna wait to buy it and play it next year instead!" This game has a large casual appeal that will sell millions of copies regardless. In fact, all of the three upcoming Nintendo holiday games (Zelda, Mario & Luigi and Mario Party) are kind of perfect games to release, and sell a lot of, even after the Switch 2 has been revealed. Also, the console has already been announced (in May), so we already know that it's coming next year. I definitely believe that the presentation will happen tomorrow (Thursday) and that the announcement for it will happen today!

Nah, these bundles are absolutely a sign towards a new system, not the opposite. It's called clearing inventory. Like when a shop needs to make some room for new products, they'll typically have a clearance sale, especially if the old products won't be sellable afterwards. Or when a grocery store cuts the price permanently for a food item about to expire. They're trying to get rid of the switches they have left by bundling them with a game and NSO at a reduced price.
