I think 6 is perfect number of ppvs. You can actually build matches and tell a solid story that way.

if you actually have stories to build. If the WWE cut it down to 6 major events a year then they’d really have interesting content, which is one the rise in any case

I don’t believe WCW couldn’t have sold merchandising back then. You telling me they couldn’t sell Sting and Ric Flair shirts and action figures?

You are missing the point Eric keeps highlighting about TNT, he stated it was a corporate multi-million dollar TV network. They had no means to mass produce, license, trademark shirts and action figures so why would they even bother.

Funny how a few years ago Eric was “irrelevant” and “knows nothing about the businesses” now years later and people are starting to see what he was saying. A guy who did EXACTLY what Tony is doing right now.

this video demonstrates the core of why he did what he did with WCW. he just happened to find a formula that worked (NWO) and put them on top of WWF in ratings. he did the opposite of less is more and his success in turning the company around did go to his head when they merged with AOL Time Warner. what you see him talk about now is a reflection of his past mistakes. I'm huge on accountability, so I enjoy listening to him even though I was never a WCW fan.

People dismissed Bischoff because of his admittedly questionable booking decisions when he was named director of Smackdown 2019. Bischoff still has years of experience being a promoter over Tony Khan and is wise enough to tell when someone makes the same fatal mistake he did with WCW.

he was hired by WWE and Vince went full totalitarian and wouldn't let him do anything around the time AEW started. he had no involvement in AEW ever, unless you count doing a podcast with the biggest AEW mark ever, then maybe I'll agree then. you can argue he was out of touch during that 2019 WWE run, but that's not the point.
@robrob9250

@mecha2001 He appeared in AEW at least twice. His biggest claim to fame has, for years, been that he beat WWE in the ratings. Now another company looks like it may do the same in future he realises his relevance dwindles. He had the chance to replicate his success in WCW while he was with TNA, and he failed, big time, and wouldn't even put his name to his work. Even so, it was clear to see his influence. Then he got a job heading up RAW, sat in catering for a month or two, realised he hasn't got a clue what he is doing, and came to a mutual agreement with WWE to leave. Now he's back to slinging viagra gum with the most annoying podcaster around. I was a WCW fan but AEW is a much better run, better booked company than WCW was.
