For me it tells a lot when you don't even understand the language (as a non-english origin) and you're still blown away just because of the cadence and the rhyming on top of that beat... I learned his verse even I didn't have any idea wtf was going on. It was immediately and still is one of my favorite hip-hop tracks and especially Deck's verse in the beginning!

I have to correct you brother Kweli. Deck's verse on "Triumph" is UNQUESTIONABLY one of the greatest verses of all time. It's ARGUABLY the greatest OPENING VERSE of a posse track of all time... 💯🙏🏾

What's even more dope is that Deck's verse on Triumph doesn't even sound out of place on Tony Touch's version where its the Shadowboxin instrumental.
