In this clip from People's Party, Talib Kweli and co-host Jasmin Leigh chat with rapper, producer, and actor Method Man about being one of the few rappers to ever collaborate on songs with both The Notorious B.I.G. and with Tupac. Method Man gets into detail first about how he came to know Biggie before sneaking out to record "The What" with him. He then transitions into the story behind all the west coast circumstances that led to his song with Tupac, how he let Biggie know about it, and why Inspectah Deck was left off the track.

Pacs left toe has more History and deep( Black )backround than some of u will ever have in your life . Stop ignoring that !! Stop disrespect this man !! A lot of older cats hate that people look at Pac as some kind of "superman".They always try to downplay his "gangsta" moments. And I don't even think Pac was "gangsta"...! think hewasjusta brother who wasn't afraid to fight back or voice his opinion. He just happened to have what could be described as a few "gangster" moments throughout his life. The busting on cops...spittign in cops face....Walking out the courtroom like George Jefferson after shooting cops....Not dropping to the ground when the robbers had the drop on him NY Quad Studios...It builds a legend that a lot of older cats(Mainly older east coast dudes) have a problem with. They tend to wanna safeguard the way people view Pac..."Aww na na na....Don't go thinking he was a gangsta, now!"....When the nicca probably had more brave moments than they ever had in their life.Gangstas and thugs don't have a monopoly on toughness or having heart. Pac was from a family of radical black militants. He was basically born with a gang mentaility. It just expressed itself in a different capacity. He was more militant than he was "hoodlum".His haterz like to bend, stretch, and reach for ways to make him look like a punk.Strictly because his legend for being brave is so iconic.Plus he probably talked shit about their coast, so they still hold that against him.Don't see how you could ever deny this .
