It's been very hot and summery these past two weeks in England and it made me dream of autumn even more. This video is an Ode to Autumn, the poetry of darker, moodier autumn days - I hope this will inspire you to find beauty in each day and slow down as you live through this season.

My favorite time of year is definitely autumn. When I have my wood supply in, all the canning and drying of our vegetable garden done and my card table set up with the first of my 1,000 piece autumn scene jigsaw puzzle ready to go, I feel ready for my season. Nice fall theme video.

I think what you said today was of great importance. You’re right, we can feel like there’s so much we want to do. I make a point to get outside, even with a chill, and just observe quietly. So much beauty, it actually makes me emotional. Early this morning, I played on the slide in the park with the kids in my before school program. Later, I stopped in a store to get a drink before an appointment and saw a lovely loaf of cinnamon raisin sour dough bread. I could not resist and enjoyed it so much sipping warm coffee and watching your lovely video. I will savor every moment of Autumn until it fades. Than you. 🍄🍁🥰

There's a beautiful poem " September " by the poet Louis MacNeice that he quotes to her . September is about her son who must make difficult choices and takes place mainly in Scotland . (Where we live we have already had the first frost, all trees have changed and many leaves on the ground...the weather forecast predicts snow for next week...here the autumn is very short and intense, so is spring and summer...but then we live in the Arctic region...soon we will have the long dark polar night...the sky will be full of stars and the northern light will dance over the dark sky in our world far up north...)
