I had the great opportunity to meet and film a very talented, very humble artist named Patrick Ballesteros.
The first thing that struck me about Patrick's work is his storytelling and style. He's got a quality of joy and energy that is infectious and his willingness to teach and share about art paints a picture about how great of a person Patrick is.

I have been finding excuses as to why my art has been lacking the last few years, being angry and envious of other brilliant artists, thinking I put in the effort, why aren't I that good yet. I know I have the capacity to be good, I can honestly say now more than ever that I have a skill in creation and imagination that others would like to have, and I have been squandering it, everything that inspires in the least helps, and this has helped greatly in me realizing I need to wake the hell up and start putting in the effort again. Thanks for the video upload, it helped me greatly.

Oh my god!..That Firefly painting had me in tears. You're the real man. I love drawing nostalgic things too,..be it old Disney cartoons or movies,..or things that inspired me as a kid rather than trying to fit in into the present day industrial demands.
