Hi Julie and Tony welcome to the motorhome maze. You buy a MH and it’s perfect then the ifs start. We sorted the small table conundrum by putting a round in a table on a post.between the bench seats at the cab end.. At bed time the post is removed. We have a similar system of living and sleeping

I always think your van looks so comfortable so I would not be chopping it up at all. Great idea on the small light in the bathroom and I was a small touch I use as I have to get up at least once every night now. It must be nice to be married to an electrician, I wish Mrs Metalman was one, would save me so much expense lol. Sounds like Tony has gone a bucket list of jobs in the 'very near' future and thoughts of changing the van too - wow, sounds like a lot of expense coming your way Tony! Cheers Alan

Hi guys. Fascinating stuff. That little magnetic light sensor is a brilliant idea. Looks like Tony has his work cut out 😃😃 I think Bob Earnshaw fitted a swivel table. That looked great!! Not sure how you would fit yours though. Ours is going to have a small fixed table at the font. The shower 🤣🤣🤣🤣 These are going to be really useful to us when we get the van. (Hopefully any day) 🤷🏻‍♂️

So good to see you in this group. Lovely ideas, we used to have a loo light in Bertie and will get one like yours now 👍🏻😃 An extra power socket would be very handy. The air con units can be noisy and you need to check loadings for France as some campsites only have 6 or 10 amp hookups. You may be able to get a detachable bracket for your swivel table 🙂💙🚐 Great video 👍🏻 Trev n Sue

I have seen a few of your vlogs and I see you have installed the socket and table. Good job. You will put them to good use. We had an Elddis 135 and now exchanged it last year for Elddis 194. Both have the same ceiling fan you have installed in the kitchen area. We find we don’t really use this due to the noise and have contemplated looking at removing this and fitting an air con unit in its place. There would be electrics already there for powering it up for one. Just a thought as you mentioned looking at fitting one in the lounge area. All the best in 2024!!

Hi Ian, when we bought our new van the fan really made a noise so Brownhills replaced it now it doesn’t make any noise. Yes suppose you could use that area for an air conditioning unit. We actually like the fan for extracting the air when we are cooking. If you go ahead with the change let us know how it goes. Thank you for supporting us x Julie and Tony x

Hi Lisa and John, so pleased you enjoyed the video, I know Tony is pretty good at things (but not all the time 😄). The little light is brilliant, it’s from Amazon, I think I got a deal of 3 when we bought ours. Yes there will be another one soon. I know can you believe that about the shower! I’ve had to use the shower here this morning wasn’t too impressed as didn’t want to overfill the tank 😩we aren’t on a serviced pitch and it’s away to the emptying point , take care x Julie and Tony x

We bought a Wastemaster for when we're not on a serviced pitch. It's great but obviously bulky for storing. Hope you can get the light, the ware master is a good idea but we wouldn’t have anywhere to store it. We have the collapse drain pipes which CL sites let you drain to the edge of the field or put into a drain hole, but not at this site. We are leaving tomorrow so should be ok. I managed a shower in the facilities not amazing but adequate as I’m sure Tony will be telling you later ha ha , take care x Julie and Tony x

There is never such a thing as having 'enough' USB charging points. Our last MH came with a single type A, Roxy had none at all.. There are also never enough 13A sockets either.
