She's very idealistic and it's to her credit that she is. I think we need a brand of idealistic politics but we must zero in on the details of each specific policy. All too often, the politics of today is about self-serving careerists who do something out of necessity for to hold onto their jobs rather than what is right for the country. The Scottish referendum definitely bucked this trend and I suppose to some extent, the Brexit referendum is one that continued on from it.....maybe not quite in the same way but still, it was one where we can say democracy was there. The problem, as I see it, coming from an Irish perspective, is that in the likes of the Jobstown case, is the wilful manipulation politicians will go to in order to get what they want. Putting a teenager in prison for protesting against what the government has done. And not only that, but when the media is roundly against the people itself, there's not a lot of hope in which they can believe in. Politicians become echo chambers if they show up at all and for the most part, they don't inspire change at all. They're just there for the paycheque. I'm also happy she doesn't use slogans in her speech. Politics should be about debates but if it's only about hectoring, put-downs and cheap sloganeering, that's what turns me off about much of politics today. They're always searching for the lowest common denominator. But that's probably why I'm not a politician.

Many World Leaders Travel To London, Try To Get To Know at Intimate Level. A Photo-op also good, since world leaders are humans after all. Not possible to make so many adorers satisfy.

So True. Youth Can Experience Politics Very Early On. Most Potent If Under Legal Age. Mister President, You Raised Her Up without knowing her age. Young People Can Do Undermining. Liberal Democracy with libido.

An issue is current politicians with the mainstream discredit and belittle the young. I'm glad the mainstream news is dying it's been a long time coming with podcast reaching more and more people every year it's only a matter of a few years before we see a real change.
