Inspiroy Ink 320M by Huion - Unboxing & First Impressions

Having been able to use top of the line wacom tablets for years I found myself in a position where I needed a simple tablet for lockdown as I don't have access to the fancy wacom tablets in the studio.
Also all of the cheaper models of wacom such as Intuos S and One by Wacom were completely sold out!
I bit the bullet and picked up an Inspiroy ink 320m by Huion, I assumed that it would function well enough for the simple requirements I have of a very basic pen tablet for creating cinematography breakdowns.
There were a few teething problems as although it worked as a basic device when plugged in as soon as the software was installed it stopped working. After a lot of googling and re-installing I discovered that this is due to the access permission in my version of mac os. This wasn't covered on instal and I didn't get any dialogue boxes asking for permission etc.
However it was easy to fix once I knew where the issue was!
The e-ink screen is fun but I can't see I'll get must use out of it.

Great review Dale. That's a nice looking tablet...I'm just such a Wacom fanboy that I cant see myself switching...they just work. Ya know?

Thanks, know what you mean if the low end wacoms hadn't been sold out this wouldn't have even got a look in. But it seems to work just fine for my needs, and also has some cool phone integration )maybe android only...) I'll be curious to see what the retouchers make of it!

I think there are replacement tips in the holder that you can unscrew

Dude, for a 15 minute video you could have at least used the tablet to let us see how it performs in your workflow.

😅 I literally just do the rough lines on the cinematography breakdowns. Gonna do a follow up with the retouchers who use them in a more demanding fashion 👍🏻
