Personally I wouldn't have called it a fail as I think the inspo to outfit combined with the (attempted) vlog part actually worked and made the video really interesting, I know your pain with the liquid latex. I used to use a lot of copydex when I made newspaper sculpture in art, it's the same smell as liquid latex. I can't use liquid latex (or copydex) anymore because the smell makes me retch.

I went to a MM concert in the mid-1990's wearing something very similar! I had black electrical tape on my chest instead of a proper top also, it was fun to be able to wear something so revealing for a night. Although I entered the death-rock/goth scene in the early 1980's, I wasn't in the habit of going out with no proper top on on a regular basis, haha. But it was super fun once in a while for a night out! At the time I went to this concert I worked at a place that sold liquid latex, so we incorporated that into our outfits a lot. It had just become available to the public so it was all the rage! I am still in the scene but these days I wear more street goth/dark avant garde mixed with what I would call "comfort goth". Somewhat similar to Jakes looks but toned down. I am now 51 so I rarely go clubbing or even out of the house, but I always make an effort to look put together.

Omg I got so excited when I saw this, and I also have Manson as my kind of "childhood alt icon" (they were the first band I discovered on my own and the first music I listened to that wasn't just something my dad played) so that has a special place in my heart. AND you mention Psyclon Nine, which is literally my favorite band. This was my favorite video I have seen you do in years. Partly because it feels very relaxed and real. I also enjoyed seeing you try a style I had never seen you wear. The latex needed another layer I think but you pulled off the whole look well. I really enjoyed seeing you with friends. Like-minded people are priceless when you are goth. I really love this concept! I think once you implement those changes that you learned from filming this video (giving yourself enough time, etc.), this will be a really awesome video series. Can’t wait for the next one~ Also I like the fact that in the thumbnail, we got a sneak peak of the outfit and the music inspo. Amazing video!!! I absolutely love this look! It is stupid hot. I used to do things a bit similar. I would stick two safety pins in an x shape through my nipples and then put one small piece of electrical tape over the actual nipple part with a ripped up fishnet bodysuit. My teeny little skirt was barely as wide as my hand. Gah...I was a bit wikkid in my twenties. Many are though and I regret none of it. Such good times. I am a huge fan of Psyclon Nine as well and followed them like a gothpuppy here in the states for a couple years. Nero has a voice that is demon sent. Nobody has or will ever sound like that again. It was just sublime. And Rotney...words fail. I was lucky to meet the band a few times. They are STILL one of my favorites to listen to. Nero had a difficult time for a bit but he is doing so much better from what I hear from the friends that still do the rounds. Thank you for sharing.
