Also, activating quick capture will damage your sd card so it's always recommended to first start the camera wait for it to power up and only after that to press record. I don't have the X3 however this is mentioned in the sd card section on every camera manual I had untill now.

My X3 is bricking memory cards including the Insta brand card purchased with the camera. I've purchased recommended cards from Best Buy and only get a few sessions before the card bricks and no longer is recognized in any device, including the PC

Quick format resolved the issue for me. I recommend to try that before doing deeper format. (Quick format is completed in 2 seconds)

I recently bought 4 of the sandisk extreme (not pro) 256gb for upcoming Tahiti trip. I opened and formatted on my insta360x3. They all appear to work fine so far. I wouldn’t know how to spot a fake. Question is… is EXTREME PRO far superior? Should I get those instead? Hope I haven’t wasted my $

I just had this issue. Although I've been using my SD card with my 360 for a year now with no issue. I filmed no issue, then went to to transfer files only to be greeted with no SD card prompt on my 360 screen. Now figuring out how to solve this.

frustrating isn't it! Just got my ONE RS 360 and an old memory card works, but it's too slow... and the fast Sandisk from my drone, formatted as recommended, will not work at all Off shopping I guess 🙂 Thanks for the video - kinda explained why I wasn't going mad after all!

I'm here for recommendations. My X3 just started not reading my card. It's a V30 64gb, it used to work seamlessly. I have tried running the card on my phone and it's accessible and it works. I've tried reformatting the card, still the X3 won't recognize the card and keep displaying "no SD card" red icon. Do you have an idea I could try to fix the issue? Thanks!

I took videos and the error poped up with no sd card in the camera when i wanted to transfer to my laptop. I 1st plugged the camera into the pc via usb cable. would not read the card. a bunch of popups about card read error and i should format. Then I used a card reader and put it in my laptop. Card read errors and It wanted me to format it. I dont want to format because i want the videos on it. So, out of curiosity i used the card reader and plugged it into my samsung galaxy 22 and boom the files are there. currently im downloading the videos. then i will reformat the card and see how it goes from there.

I experienced the same thing twice. Insert the SD card into your computer and run check disk. Then fix up the card using the windows diagnostic tools. You will be able to recover all your files . Good luck!

Took my insta 360 x3 to Europe with Sandisk Pro 400 card, now this card is unrecognizable by Insta 360, does not work with any adopter, had to put into my GoPro 9 and format the damn thing. I came to conclusion that Insta 360 x3 would be really good for rock skimming fun.

The card is probably corrupt. Insta 360 is very picky with SD cards. I checked 3 of them so I know I'm good when I travel

tip 1: insert your sd card, go to factory settings and click yes. it restarts and everything works with the sd card

Ran out of memory on the last trip so I put in my boyfriend's extra micro sd card and recorded the last part of our trip perfectly. Got back home to switch cards, so he gave me back my Insta brand one, put it in the camera and doesn't recognize it all of a sudden - even though it's full and never had an issue before. So yeah, mine already has files on it that I can view on my computer but not the camera. I need to use the app bc I want to join the last files together it recorded before running out of memory and desktop version still doesn't join files in one

That free insta sd card got slung on my first days of ownership with the blue screen of death Tried other sd cards and yes they work but converted to Sandisk just to prevent corrupt card issues When you loose precious memories then you ask why buy cheap memory cards lesson learned

Flying balloon with it causes my camera to be overheated. X2 i had not this issue. Also the quality looks so much worse then the X2. My X2 got stolen from a car at ABQ Balloon fiesta... so i thought lets upgrade to a X3... But i regret it...@@rohastechreviews
