Hey Caroline! Canadian here 🙋♀️ I’m pretty positive that Shoppers Drugmart DID stop carrying your double cleansing balm! I had wanted to try it and every time I went to check it wasn’t there! Other Pixie products were there though! I was very upset because that’s the only pace to get Pixie products in Canada 😞

Brittany Cormier Where in Canada are you located? I’m in the nation’s capital and I’m pretty sure I saw the Double Cleanse the last couple of months. HOWEVER! The last time I went into Shopper’s I did notice Pixi had new serums so maybe the Double Cleanse is gone now! I’m panicked now haha

Hi Caroline, I am 50, normal to dry skin, with some fine lines and a few wrinkles. I take my makeup off with Clinique Balm, I then use a cream cleanser (varies) I then use Pixi Glow Tonic. Now I have an issue as to what to use next. I have Paulas Choice 1% Retinol Treatment, Hada Labo white bottle lotion, and a moisturiser (varies) is this all okay together, and in what order would you suggest I apply them please?

Bummed I missed this live chat! Any cleanser recs/tips for my boyfriend who is a tradesman working all day in the Australian sun and obviously has to pile on the sunscreen? He finds it hard to break down the 5+ layers of sunscreen and sweat without drying out his skin even further (plus he's a typical guy who hates using product!)
@carolinepisko31634 жыл бұрын
Arriolaah give the ordinary squalane cleanser a try 😊 gel to oil formula, good for both first and second cleanse, fragrance free. I have dry skin and it works for me while removing my makeup!
@maiastenger89714 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure what is available to you in Australia but I would recommend the Burt’s Bees Soap Bark & Chammomile Cleanser. I used it when I worked as a labourer doing roofs. It feels really cooling and moisturizing and it is amazing on the skin that feels sensitive and raw from working outside in the heat. Another nice product is the Clinique Take the Day Off cleanser (Caroline talks about it herself). I would suggest using the oil version as it can feel nourishing to the skin and it’s more simple packaging. I have learned that men do not take the time to unscrew a lid and dip their fingers into a jar. Packaging with a pump is the way to go!

Amazing video, Caroline, so informative, I've been following you for a couple of years now but I learn something new with every new video or blog post! And thank you for being such a trooper and bringing out content despite everything that's going on and the fact that you're feeling rubbish! I hope you get well soon! Sorry I'm a bit late to the party, but I have a question: I've always been sceptical of how effective actives are in cleansers, such as vitamin C, E, acids, etc, so I was very interested to hear that you think acids are effective in cleansers, and I think I'd have to agree with you on that one - Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel works wonders! However, what are your thoughts on vitamins, etc in cleansers? Do you think they're on the skin long enough to impart any goodness or is it better to just stick to serums etc for that kind of thing?

I asked this in the freaks group the other day and got mixed responses. If you haven't got makeup on but you do have a moisturiser that contains SPF and not an actual separate sunscreen on, do you still need to double cleanse that night?

A moisturiser with SPF probably not. An individual SPF 30/50 yes x

I'm normally a clinique take the day off person(love it!) But as I was saving some pennies I tried the primarks naturals balm to oil cleanser (£3) it's a little bit fragranced but it does just as well . My skin is fairly sensitive and being perimenopausal I do break out ALOT. I've had good results from this as a first cleanser to remove makeup and SPF. Oh and I will be downloading your book ,I'm still working shifts so would have been great to read now but i will be patient 👍

I notice you never talk about Olay skin care. I use Olay cream cleanser because it's the only thing that doesn't dry my skin. I've tried Pixi Hydrating Milky Cleanser, but even that makes me a bit dry. My question is, do you never talk about Olay because it's not great skin care? It was my go-to before I discovered Pixi.
@kendallstark43024 жыл бұрын
Jane, I've used Olay Total Effects since forever and it's the only moisturizer that doesn't clog my pores. But yeah, I've noticed that no one that I follow here has said anything about it.

Is massaging a cleansing oil for 8-10 min too much (as a first cleanse)?? I'm SUPER acne prone and too paranoid to do less (5 min is my "less" paranoid routine) lol. I only oil cleanse if I'm wearing makeup.
@louc23584 жыл бұрын
I remember CH answering this (but where ? Don’t remember sorry) : “You’re juste massaging dirt on your face”. So massage during second cleanse. And always be gentle - especially with acne, ie already sensitised skin.

I'm glad for your lives although I miss everyone. You not only are the best, most informative skincare vlogger/expert but you make me laugh all through your videos. Question: I've had my eyes on Oskia but I've got over productive sebaceous glands that produce enough oil to oil hinges of every door in a house🚫 So I'm looking for a good cleanser for oily skin that helps shrink my pores and keep oil at bay? 50ish $£€ range. At the end someone asked about a physical exfoliator: here is a horror story- back, eons ago in school, I had a classmate who had cystic acne so bad everyone was so cruel to her that she actually used AJAX or COMET ..😶 to scrub here face.
