Thank you for your explanation Otto. My Insta360 Flow Pro arrived yesterday,. Will need a wider tripod feet as the iPhone Pro Max is too top heavy. Its not a huge learning curve, but like each car company has its own system, the same goes for Insta360. I previously had the DJI 6 but found it agin didn't support the heavy iPhone that well.

How do you film self content with custom framing? It seems easy with the screen facing you but not rear facing which has a better camera lens system

@@Gojemba true about the camera. You could try using the tracking so you stay in frame but you won’t be able to see it during the recording

Recording in landscape orientation. When I lower the gimbal down towards my feet(to get a perspective from down low), my camera flips(as expected). When I view my video everything looks fine initially, but when I get to the point where I lower the gimbal down low, my video is upside down. Not sure why.

@@Robert-sy9ji that’s because you started recording in an upright position and the image will not flip while recording when it flips down. Hope this makes sense .

I have a few questions about the 360 photo mode on the Insta360 Flow Pro gimbal. Can you tell me more about the size of the 360° photo? Is it any beter than an X3 or X4 regarding to resolution, stitching and exposure? Is HDR possible? Is it possible to save the pictures and to stitch those in another 3rd party program? Thanks

the thing with the resolution of the 360 picture is that it will depend on the camera you are using and not so much on the app itself.

Otto, I just purchased and received the Insta360 FLOW Pro. I cannot figure out how to set the gimbal to continuous 360 rotation from the operational panel while stationary on the tripod. I wish to operate the gimbal while the usb cable is connected to the base and the usb wall charger for continuous operation. In addition, I wish to have my phone charging constantly as well. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

Hi. Although the gimbal is capable of doing 360 panning, I don’t think you can set it to rotate continuously by itself

The alternate method of changing modes doesn't seem to be working for me, rather than switching modes the double touch advances the Video options, ie. TImeshift / Slow Motion / Dolly Zoom / Widescreen mode... I did a firmware update today, could that be why?

When you shoot in normal video mode, and select a person with frame selection, an option for "Auto Zoom" will appear in the lower left corner of the screen. You can click to enable it.

nevermind. found the answers lol. that different design is the rubber wrap. and nfc found how to pair in the manual. still didn't make it, - but at least it started blinking. maybe need to restart my phone. and phone quite old, pro 100

@@arishem555I had trouble pairing as well. What worked for me was turning airplane mode on and off. You also may need to play with the position of your phone when you’re holding it over the NFC

Unfortunately this is only a half tutorial explaining the functions exactly like in the manual. It doesn’t show how to achieve things with the many options and functions. Best example: Pano. Why did you not show how the 4 modes are used and what the results are? Same for the gimbal modes. When moving around in Auto, F, and FP, there is no difference in reaction of the gimbal to be seen.

I just watched this video again and I showed the difference of movement/ locked axis on those gimbal modes, even showing an example. Clearly shows what's not locked or locked, and an example of when to use them. Generally this is something that I show on a different video anyway. As for pano mode, and some other modes, yes, I did not dive deeply into them because the retention of the viewer always drops down when I talk about the app. Panorama shots are self explanatory but that's my opinion. I try to cover the things that are most important for most users, for example you might not find important the AI editing feature or similar functions that would turn a video into a 30min tutorial and seen as boring for the vast majority. Anyway, hope you did learn something
