When you travel to another region/country with your Insta360 One X, you might face this problem, because different regions support different WiFi channels.

Thank you, another method that I tried is to uninstall the app in my hp and reinstall it. During the startup, the phone will try to scan for your insta360x2.

from Belgium: my son and I bougth a One X2 at the same time. For my son, the bluetooth/Wifi worked immediately, while I struggled. My connection only worked when I connected the 360 own USB cable + an adapter piece from USB-C to USB-A because their cable was only A to C. Using my own high quality data cable from OnePlus 7T smartphone did not work (could only charge the 360). The country in the app was originally set to auto and did not work. Changing to Belgium did not work. When changing to Indonesia and using the correct USB cable, then it started. Restarting the 360 and it works normally including also the control of the camera via the app. The app takes over the Wifi setting of my phone and changes it to 360 X2 connection. As soon as the app closes, my own wifi channel/internet is back. The app is only needed now to control the 360 x2 by phone but it also can be done on the 360 only. The whole thing is very confusing and quite counterintuitive. The 360 camera will not want to operate (record) when the wifi/bluetooth connection is not activated via the app. towards the camera. I had to consult the 360 service contact. Answer was very quick but not detailed.

so ANNOYING.. still can't find the wifi. first of all it doesn't appear on the camera screen like yours do (wifi and bt symbol) anyway when I change region and press confirm, it keeps searching without giving confirmation. I close and reopen the app and it actually changed but still my phone doesent find the wifi.

It can connect to both, but the wifi connection is far better. And, no, you can't serve the internet when connected with the camera via wifi.

Bluetooth connection isn't essential, it merely helps the wifi connection, if your phone connects to the camera via wifi, then you should no problem!

This doesn't work because there is no such cable that allows the connection from the camera to an android. it is strictly only apple.

5Ghz vs 2.4Ghz Wifi settings. The camera and app default to 5Ghz and if your phone (cough Motorola Power G8, cough) doesn't support 5Ghz Wifi, you are stuck unless you can tell it to use a country which doesn't use 5Ghz. Why this can't be done from the camera in settings - no idea ad a real help when you don't have a usb-c to usb-c cable or other phone to install the app on.
