Insta360 Quick Reader - HOW QUICK IS QUICK?

I found it easier to get the card out of the insta 360 after I did lots of clips, and put it in the reader and than the reader in the phone. Works fast and don t need to have it plugged in the camera so you ll keep the form factor.

Great, I have been looking for this answer for a long time. Can I use any QR to any camera if I move card, I have a One R and a One X2 so I don’t like to buy 2 readers as I anyway going to remove the card.

I wonder if this would be useful for transferring to the computer as well ... nice video. I would love to see a time comparison for the same clip through the quick reader , and just the app transfer

The QuickReader uses USB2.0 protocol. By that it's the same transfer speed as connecting the camera by cable to the mobile device. Those are some values I compared for a 800GB 5.7k recording of 1:12min with OneX2: Wifi transfer time => 1:23 min USB transfer time => 0:48 min You also see a benefit by lots of small files to be transferred because wifi needs to do more protocol stuff between files.

Can you record to internal SD card and then install it in the quick reader? I film a lot from moving cars and that extra bit hanging off the side makes me nervous

Heres my question: I have got issues with SD card asking to format on PC despite having footage still recognisable on photo and in camera. Seems like a known issue. Is there a workaround or any updates without asking insta360 to send a new camera (like some ppl recommend)?

Mainly it's limited by the limit supported by the camera. For example OneX2 can handle 1TB micro SDcards.

How solid is the attachment of the Quick Reader to the core? Is it safe to have the quick reader attached while on motorcycle or vibrate-intense activities?

Thanks - great video - I have one of these but haven't used it yet :-). Good to know it needs it's own SD card - I hadn't realised! Will it record to both the camera SD card and the Card Reader SD card and if so in which order? Does it fill the Camera SD card first or does it only record to the quick reader? Love your videos from New Zealand (originally from Manchester :-) )

You don’t need to buy a SD card for the reader. Just remove camera card after recording. Fit in SD card reader & transfer 👍

First comment it right, but I would have a card in both the camera and reader, but when you are using the reader it records only to the reader.

While you have set the "QuickReader" usb option on the camera and have the QuickReader connected to the camera all recordings will go exclusively to the micro SDcard in the QuickReader. There is no dual target recording and no clone from internal SDcard to QuickReader:

Can’t one just use the SD card that’s in the insta camera and take it out of the insta camera and stick that into the quick reader?
