Hi Ben, Many thanks for the insta360 studio version tutorial! I find it is difficult to edit on the mobile. Wish they would bring all the editing features available on mobile to the studio version, jump cut is a great feature. With the Insta360 studio version being so limited, what is the best way to trim out segments from a longer video?

So, after all these years, they STILL haven't added the ability to combine multiple clips. Oi! Edit 2024-11-22: Yes, I KNOW that the current version FINALLY allows you to edit multiple clips together. Y'all can stop telling me. This is an old video and, when I made this comment, that feature was not available. It is still surprising to me that it took as long as it did for them to finally add the feature.

Great video! One issue I always seem to find when I am key framing, is the transitions. I start the key frame point, and then move the scene. Do I then need to place another key frame point to stop the panning transition so that it is stays locked when I wanted it? I tried direction lock, but it still pans from point to point. Am i doing something wrong here?

You are both my main inspiration and source for the latest information. What I really miss in Insta360 Studio is those precise manual view controls when reframing a photo (which is what I mostly do). Unless I am missing something? And it seems like zooming with my mouse wheel also changes the fisheye, which is not what I want. Plus, it is not very granular. A single keyframe box like we have on the video side would be ideal. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!

👍Good stuff - I have saved this video because I am still using a GoPro Max • I may pull the trigger this fall on an Insta 360 camera from B&H Photo in NYC. I like the GoPro Max because I can mount this camera on a model train flat car and run it through a tunnel. Looks like the Intra 360 is to tall to go through a model train tunnel. Take care: Gary from Michigan USA 🚂
@BenClaremont Жыл бұрын
Thanks Gary- actually you can just angle the X3 so it misses the tunnel. Or- the One RS has a much lower profile so will easily fit.

Thank you for your tutorial. I consider myself a competent video editor, but this software perplexes me. My first time recording with the Insta 360 RS 1-inch (what a mouthful) and I recorded myself driving along a promenade, its one long clip and runs in at 30mins in length. My question to you, it appears to not be possible to cut, trim the timeline into sequences (once I have changed the camera angle) I do not want to include keyframe transitions (i.e camera moving into place) is the only option for me to import into Premiere or Resolve to make these adjustments there? I am aware of creating another project, like for what you mention, one project say in a timelapse sped up, but say I wanted to have one shot of me driving, followed by another shot of what I am driving towards, at the exact same place (for continuity) how would I do this without seeing the keyframe transition? I hope I am making sense ;) Thank you for your guide.

Hey Ben, no one said I was tech savvy and here's the proof....."and it's SO easy to use" LOL! So I'm editing a video, say 60 seconds out, normal view. I'll then push + and add a keyframe and select tiny planet. Then I go back before the keyframe and it has also change the first 60 seconds to tiny planet. I know it's something very easy but I can't figure it out. Ive tried clicking on the + to see if there's a way to lock it from changing.....but alas, I sit here frustrated but knowing the answer id blowing in the wind. Thanx! Todd

Editing with the phone apps works good especially when there are function for editing in HD or Quick. Quick mode means you will see low quality video while editing but it will be smooth. HD mode will definitely lagging. There are no function includes in the Studio mode. So editing will be very hard. Or maybe I need to have a high end computer to be able to edit smoothly?

I love your channel! On the deep tracking, is there a way to "uncenter" the tracking so the tracked area shows, say, near the lower left corner of the frame instead of centered? I have tried unchecking the "Center the target" checkbox but it seems to work the same either way - the tracked area always goes to the center.
