Thank you so much, man! I just bought the camera and I don't know anything about it. I was having difficulty doing a simple function like that of exporting the photo from the camera to the computer. I looked for several channel tutorials here in Brazil. But nobody explained it. Such a simple video about something so silly that you can't imagine how much it could be helping. I have a MacBook Air M1 with Ventura 13.2 and have the same issue. There's a dialog popping up after a few seconds asking for permission, but only for half a second before it's gone again. No way to read or even hit any button. The camera display is dark and nothing happens.

The solution is: Go to your Mac system settings, then Dataprotection and security (my Mac is in German, so my translations may be wrong) then scroll down to the bottom and choose "always" in "Allow external connections" (or so).

the videos on the mobile app was taking soooo much of my gb on my iphone! i was looking for seomthing like this i could save them on the cloud! that helped me a lot! thanks! now ill just have to understand if im able to edit them oon the phone too once i put it on my cloud hahhaah but at least i dont have to delete the 360 files forever! i can only delete from the app but save it on the computer! so helpfull

Why aren’t my images being saved to my iPhone album in 360 images format after I chose export as 360 from insta360 app? It’s just flat images doesn’t save with that 360 symbol and FB doesn’t support 360 images no more ?

To anyone going through the same problems... it is actually possible to get updates for old mac... It is just a roundabout process that apple doesn't make easily available because they stop sending notifications and updates. But it is possible. Then you can use the actual inst360 editor.

@day binder mate, I am not knowledgeable. I did it a while back, while following the only tutorial on youtube I found, that shows how. But basically, go into the apple store and do the update from there. I'll try and fetch the link for you... it took a couple of days to find, the first time around.

I have an X1 It used to transfer files just fine. Now, when I put the files on the computer. They don't open because it doesn't have two videos in the file. Any fix to this? Other than just buying the x3

Thank you very much for such an informative video. Could you help me, please?. Let’s say I recorded on my X3( don’t own it yet) 250 gb sd and I didn’t edit it. Then I save it in my laptop and then onto the iCloud. And after, I erase the sd card. The videos are in the iCloud( I erase the videos from the lap top for space reasons). After, when I decide to edit it, I bring it back from the iCloud to the computer to edit it. People say I can’t do that and I need to edit it before I send to the iCloud I go 40 days on the rd in one go every summer. I feel very tired to start editing at night. I can't find the raw file in my phone/ipad even the file is still there anywhere else becuase the raw videos is still can be seen from the apps. Mine won’t connect on windows. Edit: figured it out! I was trying to connect to my pc the same way via usb type A-C, and it wouldn’t show up on my laptop but it was charging my camera. So after trying a few different solutions I switched to a different cable and it works. Funny thing is I think it’s the cable that came with the camera that’s not working, and it’s a cheap gas station cable that is working. 😂

You can - the memory card is hidden behind the battery - take out the battery and you can remove the sd card

I'm having a HUGE problem with my Insta360. Recently, I have been able to see my Insta360 videos through my App and on the Insta360 device. However, whenever I tried uploading it to my computer, the ones I had recorded from long ago are there, but the recent files would not be shown at all. This wasn't an issue for the past 2 months for me. I unplugged devices to direct connect it to a computer, no luck. I also restarted my PC and my took out the batteries to the Insta360 device and put them back in. No luck. Iupdated the firmware on the app to the device, and this problem still exists. This problem just recently came up today. Does anyone know what happened and if Insta360 is working on fixing this? Thank you.

Do you know if I can access the camera photo files in real time? Menaing having the camera connected via USB cable and taking a photo via remote and instatnly downloading to the computer to quickly edit the photo and save to a folder on the PC. I need to be able to shoot a photo every 2 minutes and download that file to edit and save without having to go into camera settings for each photo. Tyring to decide on X3 or RS 1 Inch. Not sure if they both treat the file download the same.

I have never run down the battery in one go, but a 64GB card should give you roughly 1 hour recording time @5.7k/30fps.

I have a MacBook Pro laptop, and I followed your instructions (today, 23-Dec-2022) with a cable to my Insta360 X3, and it blew my SD card. I replaced it with a new SanDisk 256GB Extreme SD, and it blew that one as well My Insta360 now says, "NO SD CARD." I will not attempt to do it again.

I had this same problem today with the same SD cards! My work around was: 1)back up my footage on a hard drive 2) reformat the card 3) restore the camera to original factory settings. The way that I backed up my footage was different. I plugged the SD card into an adapter and then to the computer, I didn't do it from the camera itself.

You need to be using the app. If you use the app, you don't need to download the files to your computer unless you want to back them up or edit with the desktop app.

Sweet, also If you have a really good memory card I would take it out and put that in the computer, it's MUCH faster! I was just testing this out after plugging in my camera and saying 24 min to transfer 47GB - With the Micro SD card in the computer time fell to half. Cool video you made me think!

Or just connect your SD card to the laptop and you can do the same thing, no need of the camera
