For those who don't realize yet, this feature is only for members who are under instacart Plus. It also appears to just be a scam to get more people to sign up for instacart plus. I already have six customers who have listed me as a favorite. It's been 2 weeks now and I have not received one single scheduled order yet and two of them have called me prior to starting the order. None of the customers are still getting the option to select us even after leaving us as a favorite. Should have known better than to think instacart was actually looking out for our best interest

My fear is that the no or low tip customers may use the favorite shopper to get there batch taken quicker. That is why I didn’t toggle the automatic acceptance button.

My worry is that instacart won't change the crappy parts of this update. They call it a pilot, but I feel like all the other "pilots" they've tested out have never been changed or updated after flaws were found. Even when they are very flawed, instacart won't improve it. they're rolling it out and probably won't ever change it even after listening to what shoppers want. Look at the queued batches, and store hot spots. Neither are very accurate or good but have they changed it? No. I agree there should not be an auto accept. It needs to notify preferred shoppers first, if nobody takes it, put it available to all shoppers.

I got this update & I have 8 people that made me their favorite shopper so far & 2 of them that I know of are great tippers so I’ll just have to decipher thru the rest when this starts ya know 💯

Well this is a crap show because you get a head start on the favorite shoppers. If they roll it out everywhere everybody will have made there shopper a favorite and it’ll be nomore to give out.

Aphid cart::: Its a scam, anyone who adds you as fav gets auto accepted, you dont see the pay or any details beforehand of the order. Unless you regularly remove favorites you may be forced to take trash orders because they ordered before you could remove them. These are single orders so the pay will be much lower than a traditional double batch with 2 good tippers combined. Its trash !!!

One thing I would like to see in this feature is a notification, rather than auto-accept. Where you have 1 to 2 minutes to check out the order. All of the details, including tips & mileage. Then you can either decline & let it pass on to the next available shopper, or you can accept & go to work, or it will added to an order you are already shopping.

I think its broken. I've favorited a bunch of shoppers but when I go to schedule order, favorite shopper isn't even a choice anymore.

This is old news but I have like 6 people that added me as their favorite but I turned it off. There's no way I'm Auto accepting an order. You don't know the pay, you don't know the location or anything. This has no benefit to the driver/shopper.

I have finally received an order that someone scheduled with me. But it was an order that instacart accepted for me, automatically. The order was for $50 but I was to travel 25 miles from the store to the customer, and from my location to the store another 25 miles. Total 50 miles, 30 items for $50. Truly a rubbish order.

Pretty sure it's broken though. I have 37 customers that have favorited me, and still not one scheduled order or auto-accept order. My availability is from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm. I've even had some of those customers after they favorited me, but their orders just came in as a regular orders that I had to accept first before anyone else. I've done over 5,100 orders with IC

I have 6600 orders and 15 good tippers all favorite and I don’t even see orders some days worth doing still not seen any auto selected I don’t even see the orders from my favorites when they tell me to go to the store now they don’t let me even see there orders!

Auto accept and not knowing the pay beforehand is a slap in the face to the shoppers. Who wants to commit their time, energy & availability to something unknown? Some ppl don’t tip or tip low (even on big orders) and batch pay alone isn’t worth the time, gas or wear & tear. There wasn’t much consideration for the shoppers when they came up with this feature. I’m a Diamond shopper with high ratings and I have 6 who favorited me but I haven’t turned the feature on. The consequence to that for me has been low paying batches or multi-customer batches with decent pay but high mileage to deliver.. which isn’t worth it in the end. I feel like I’m just getting the “left over” batches. Which has me considering quiting instacart altogether or working only on Sunday’s since it’s the busiest day in my area. Instacart does too much and not enough at the same time. I wouldn’t be surprised if they lost a lot of shoppers or if shoppers become a lot more inconsistent.
