poor miriam. i wonder what the writers / producers were thinking having her do an eating disorder storyline while she was personally battling it and lost her sister to one. i don't think they should have gone there with her.

I think it was after her disorder, she said she struggled with it from age 12-15, and her bulimia storyline aired when she was 18.

Damn, I didn't know that about Miriam's sister. I'm so sorry. It's very strange that the producers went with her for the ED storyline... Left a bad taste in my mouth. Cassie Steele and her music was my biggest inspiration as a teenager. This chat really proves why. She's amazing.

@@spencerkarterlive7378 Degrassi The Next Generation Season 1-9 was at its best it was never the same when the original characters Spinner, Emma, Manny, Jay, left, along with Sean, Ellie, Ashley, Marco, Paige, Craig, Jimmy, Alex, Liberty, Toby, JT, who were all gone by than, Season 10 onwards was just boring. There were a few good Characters afterwards like Maya and Tori, Tori was actually played by Cassie Steele's real life Sister Alex Steele, I always thought Maya And Tori were going to be the next Emma and Manny, really wish they would of kept Tori on the show through the series going into Degrassi Next Class. Havn't seen the movie Letters to satan Claus yet is it any good?

I started watching Degrassi during the summer of 2004. I was about to start 7th grade and my mom upgraded our cable package and I quickly discovered "the n" and started watching any and everything they showed.

i know they’re only in their 30s but man they look good. miriam 😍 also hearing miriam discussing how personal that episode about the eating disorder shakes me up man. as a man that episode really brought that issue to that to more than any other episode did bc i just did not know how much of huge issue it was bc i just thought it was just a lost of appetite for certain foods, i never thought how much of an issue effect it had mentally & physically. she did an outstanding job in that 2 part episode & i definitely thought it deserved more attention after i really wanted another episode or two of just her recovery through something like that but man i just can’t even imagine the emotions she was going through filming it but props to her & the show giving it attention because i really did learn from it.

I never would have guessed how much I have in common with Cassie. Even the way she describes her style. Although I only wear black and white, I will sometimes have a pop of colour in an accessory though. Basically punk/mod/70s rock chick. I love chunky jewelry too, I collect old Stella & Dot statement necklaces, I like layering chains and beads. And the way she describes growing up being the odd one out and her impulsivity. And I like the way she really analyzes her experiences. And I too related to Ellie.

Cassie was the most gorgeous girl I had ever seen. I wish she didn't change so much. I know there's ageing but that not it. She'd just look like a more adult version of what we remember if that were the case. I also miss her curves

Sorry girls spinner and Emma fan Sean can go. away I love you girls also Sean and Ellie and manny and jay one Sean pushes you down 2.he steals alcohol from your parents and gets drunk at 13 3.he almost hits you with a locker 4.steals snake laptop when he has cancer because you guys break up 5.he was with Ellie and leaves you guys weren’t together he shouldn’t have come back for Emma 6. He makes you cheat on your boyfriend 7. He goes races and he hits some guy 8. He tries to get you to run away with him be a fugitive at 17 9. When he gets mad because you hook up with jay and he breaks up with you comes back and lies tells you he going to get us job back and make this work 10. He doesn’t tell you about the army and then when you think you’re pregnant telling you he will see you on leave and send you money 11. Then when you find out you’re not pregnant he still leaves 12. That not a healthy relationship for him Sean is horrible for Emma 13. Spinner owns the dot is responsible and loves you unconditionally and tries really hard to be healthy and make a good better life with you guys Miriam please do better you are role model to me you saying that Sean and Emma. Should be end game is very unhealthy and dangerous so please think about that I love you and spinner and Emma forever rip to your sister I’m so sorry I love you so much spinner and Emma and jay and manny change my life they make me so happy
