You're right on all the matters except the last one... Qualification matters but what matters most is the intent... I've seen uneducated farmers who free from any superstition and scholarly person full of superstition... Moreover, a well educated person holding a PhD may someday wish to use his intellect to spread pseudoscience just to gain attention, money and fame...
