Worked (so far) Backstory : Finally got my brand new gaming system including a 5800x and a 5700xt RedDevil. Have chosen the 5700xt because i couldnt get my hands on a 3070 for a normal price (living in europe). Had some concerns about the 5700xt because i have read about the black screen and other issues but people said it was a year ago and that AMD fixed everything so far. Did a fresh windows instal, new drivers and i was ready to go. Started Warzone and everthing was fine until yesterday. Yesterday the "blackscreen if you dont tab now your monitor will shut down" issues started. tl;dr : Got a brand new gaming pc, blackscreen issues after day one, did the steps from the video, no blackscreens so far. Quick tip to boot into into safe mode: click the start button, then hover over the arrow, hold the shift key and click restart.The select troubleshoot,then advanced options, then startup options. Click restart and select safe mode. No need to remember to go back into msconfig to uncheck safemode box when you want to just boot into windows.

@@techbuildspcs Another tip I just thought of, an alternative to unplugging/disconnecting internet, right click and open network and internet settings, then look down under change your network settings and click change adapter options, this will open another window with your internet connections, right click the one(s) you don't want to connect on reboot and select disable. Now they won't come back until you enable them, comes in handy if something doesn't go right, you still block windows update from make a further mess.

What a fucking nightmare. Should've stuck with Nvidia and paid more. Flight Simulator crashes often although that has seemingly stopped increasing VRAM; but I'm here now because it crashed on Pathfinder of all games as if that's a demanding game performance wise. Then on the desktop following the driver continually timed out.

This is very much worth trying. My 5600 XT was often given me black screens when alt-tabbing or quitting games, doing this seems to have solved the problem. Update 2/5/2021: my problems recurred! :( Now I'm thinking that the card is more stable when cooler, so I'm playing with fan curves. However, I still do think this is worth trying!

@@techbuildspcs Lol! I didn't get to try this yet. However, I did update the drivers for my x570 chipset and BIOS and was able to play; A Plague Tale: Innocence, FFXIV, and League of Legends with zero crashes on 1440p ultra settings. But, at the same time I also killed the AMD Radeon Software with task manager to have it off before I started gaming. So maybe that helped to? I will try this tonight for sure and then follow up haha.

@@techbuildspcs I tried a couple of things before I paid attention to the tutorial and ran Donut. That's two Furmark tests that almost instantly reboot the computer. Haven't heard back from XFX about the warranty yet.

How reliable is the artifact scanner? I keep getting display driver crashes, usually when watching twitch or netflix via the app. But never in games, and I have not noticed anything out of the ordinary in those games. Ran the artifact scanner, which crashes instantly at 720 or 1080 but works fine at 1440. Getting thousands of artifacts detected.

Its prettu accruate in my experience. If theres an issue it will pick it up. When my 1080ti was giving me issues due to the core getting to hot this was the only way I found out. So I def trust it. If you do this tutorial and are still crashing rma or better yet return the card now. Dont wait. It will,only get worse.

I installed the drivers 20.2.2 and when radeon software and started the games crash I solved it by closing it from the task manager. Excellent tutorial.

Hi, is there a way to turn the 0 RPM off without the adrenaline? I'm using MSI Afterburner to use a custom fan curve but no matter what speed i choose on the fans they stay at 0 rpm.

They will stay the same. The fan speed is tied to the cards bios.

final update: latest driver 21.4.1 still crash with pure drivers only, the only solution is to tune and -11 or -8 or something, with very minimal crash issue. I run kumbostor with -11 set up and 0/0 artifact from 30 minutes run time, this card rx 570 is a year old and I really doubt its broken as I dont do anything to it, I will try another driver and see if I will crash again after running some games Its crashing, I cant finished stress test, like when I play game, stress test ung radeon dont produce or reboot my computer. anyway thank for the guide I manage to run application by using method that i use to avoid crashing. -11 to perf -tuning disable the boost and set it to base clocked. I dont see nay artifacts 0/0 So im convince its really on driver issue!! Anyway thanks again i will update again, this again.

How long should you let the stress test run? Ran for 3 mins with no issues and artifacts at 0/0.

Testing this out as a last resort before I rma mine, 5700xt red dragon. Though, I am report 0/0 artifacts. But top left of the screen I can see flickering and some artifacts every 5 secs
