Install Baja Designs LP4 LED Lights to Uptop Overland Alpha Roof Rack Installation Instructions

Installing 7 of the Baja Designs LP4 off-road lights on our 3rd Gen Tacoma's Uptop Overland Alpha Roof Rack. Learn tips and tricks as well as from my mistakes here. Sorry we lost battery and much of the electrical wiring footage was lost. I will try to have the testing footage up soon so you can see the light spread of the LP4s across a very large field in pitch black conditions. I can say after almost 6 months I have not had any issues with using my LP4s in hot, cold or wet conditions and none of the hardware has yet to come loose. Can you tell me who you had cut your windscreen? Looking to install 8 LP4’s on a TrailRax Bronco as well as 6 LP4’s on the bumper and 1 LP4 on each A Pillar?

Uptop overland. If you order the LP4 windscreen they add it I believe and make sure you have everything you need.

How much amps in total does it take? Is it possible if I run the wires to a Blaze Off-Road Garmin PowerSwitch??

Not sure about the power switch, give them a call. Each LP4 will draw 5.5 amps. What u building?

Thanks man. I love it still. The bracket came from uptop overland. When u order a specific windscreen cutout they will also include mounts. For this cutout they included the brackets. Thanks for watching and supporting bro. See u out there

Check dimensions, uptop is wider than most other racks. If creating your own, front runner setup might be easier check it out

Does Alfa roof rack manufacturer not sell or make the windscreen cut-out for the LP4 lights?

Thanks they look great! also on the 14:04 video shot of cable harness connected to back of light fixture. You could have added some black heat shrink help protect the wires and adds a little better look

Do you have a picture of the wire harness and how you made it. I'm getting ready to install the same setup. Was told by Baja that I could use 12 gauge to run 4 lights but I was thinking it should be 10 also.

Yes google amps per ga and u will see we are correct. Don’t risk ruining your gear. I don’t have a pic but what I did was run a wire the length of the LP4s all the way to my switch pro with an extra foot of wire. Then measure the distance between each LP4 and mark it on your 10 ga wire. From there I connected all 3 ends together, or u can connect 2 ends together and then connect that wire to another end (3 ends total). Just make sure there is plenty of surface area contact and make it water tight. Hope this helps, good luck, wish I was there to help 💪🏼
