You should just do coilovers on the rear and get rid of the mono leaf

After 2 year, the bolts still strong? Im in the process of replacing those due to corrosion in the stock bolts.

@@YellowVette04 Thanks! I was a little worried about the grade and quality of the bolt because the rear suspension of the car depends on those two bolts. I was worried about having an accident using bolts that are not original

@@edgardovigo147 grade 8 bolts are really strong. Just make sure you get grade 8 and you’ll be OK

I love how the bronze pops on those wheels. I wanna lower mine but I got the Bilstein B6 shocks and those won't let me. Have you decided on which coilovers you want? I've thought about going with BC.

I'll probably go with Silvers coilovers. Haven't pulled the trigger on them yet so there's still time to change my mind. BC are nice. A friend of mine just put them on his C6 and very nice

What did you do with the front? Stock bolts?

Stock front bolts but I cut the bushing to mimic aftermarket front bolts. It's a quick process that I'll show in the next vid.

Thinking about lowering my 2003 on stock bolts. Do you need a realignment if you lower on stock bolts? Are you going to realign yours? Really enjoy your videos.

Depends how much you lower it, but yes I got it aligned. I did the new wheels, shocks and this at the same time and I also noticed uneven wear on my old tires that came off. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comment

looking good bro! I had been thinking about lowering my C6 but wanted to get a front splitter and possible side skirts. Don't know if lowering would be detrimental on the splitter. Dave any thoughts?

I scrape my air dam getting in and out of my driveway and it is really close to scraping the underside of the front nose. That's why I haven't gotten a splitter and I'm sure you have areas near you that are the same way. Love the look of splitters, but they're almost a wear item that will need replacing along the way. Your C6 will look great tho, so I say do it and it'll give it a lower look too. I appreciate the comment as always

Another great short video! Love the look of lowering the C5, but here in Central Pa. I scrape on back roads. Added a front spoiler last year and I cringe everywhere we go! The new wheels and color look fantastic! Happy Holidays everyone!

I need to come up with a solution for my driveway bc I'm scraping getting in and out. It's just the air dam, but it would be a splitter and that's what's holding me back from getting one. Yes, still staggered with 18" front and 19" rear.

Ride quality is stiffer, but honestly not bad. At the same time I did the stiffer C6Z shocks and bigger wheels with lower profile tires, so all that added to stiffness. Little extra scraping, especially in and out of my driveway, so that's why I'm not going too much lower.

Nice to see you back. Question for you. I have a 2003 convertible with stock tires/rims Looking to upgrade to exact tires you have along with your rims except chrome instead of bronze with same offsets. Would that set up you have fit my corvette?? Thanks.

They'll fit just like mine. There's no difference from the factory in the C5 models as far as that goes. Some owners add wider fenders to put a bigger wheel and tire, but I didn't do that. You'll love the wheels and they'll look great. I purchased from Bob at House of Wheels, he had the best price when I was looking.

@@YellowVette04 so the rims will come with whatever i need to put them on correct? I am not a mechanic in anyway haha. Also, am i able to order them in chrome or is there another process that needs to occur to make that happen?

The wheels are just the wheels, so you'll need tires and TPMS sensors. I ordered the sensors from Rock Auto and since you have a 2003 it's the same part # from my last video where I showed how they get programed kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXzGaWpqgdZlqdU. Sensors include the valve stem. I would call Bob at House of Wheels, his info is all over the Corvette Forum, and ask about chrome finish on the wheels. I think they can be ordered that way from the factory, but I'm not sure.

They do. I need more low, but I just can't get the front lower without removing the front bolt all together and even with that idk if it'll be low enough lol. I scrape on my driveway now, but just the air dam.

i need to put mine back down. my air damn is about worn out might as well finish it off looking good. cant really say i have hit anywhere but there. i have smacked the rad support to many times on parking curbs feel like an idiot everytime, i just park at the pumps now
