Thank you for the video, i try to put the module behind the screen like you but i found out that it is much easier to put it behind the glovebox, there is lots of space there.This way there is no need to remove the screen ,preventing the possibility of breaking pins( your model of screen comes out without removing the entire frame ,including the vent fans,but other models need this,like mine, making this step much harder & unnecessary)

Hello. Normally the module will use the microphone of the original multimedia system, so you should be heard just as well. Check in the module menu / Settings / Audio Settings / MIC sensitivity (I hope I'm not wrong) some setting for the microphone. Try some adjustments on those values, I hope it works for you.

Hi, thank you very much for the video that both inspired me to purchase and led me through the installation! Yesterday I installed the module into Octavia 2014 with Amundsen and everything works except one thing. When I shift to reverse (manual) normally the original radio displays parking camera plus sensors view. It doesn't do that when I'm using the module. It is kind of annoying to switch back and forth while driving reverse. Does anyone know if that can be fixed?

The Android unit is very good, especially the versions with Octa Core processor, but the simplicity of the menu to make the car settings is missing. Salutare! Am nevoie sa ma ajuți dacă se poate! Tocmai am instalat un device similar pe o mașină identica cu ce ai in video! Am câteva întrebări si ar fi de discutat! Cum pot vorbi cu tine (p.s. Una din probleme este ca atunci când bag marșarier ecranul cu interfața waze etc nu comuta pe animația cu mașina, parcarea etc! Senzorii se aprind tot dar comutarea specifica nu se face! Menționez ca switch ul este setat identic cu 1, 3, 5 on sj restul off! Ajuta ma cu ceva sfaturi! Ce sa verific!??

Pai e logic sa nu auzi radioul masinii dacă treci pe sursa AUX IN ca să auzi indicațiile Waze. Dar poti folosi o aplicație de radio online și când ai telefonul conectat la modul pe Android Auto sau Carplay poți asculta radio la calitate mult mai buna decât cea a radioului FM. Eu folosesc aplicația TuneIN.

Instalezi aplicația AAAD, apoi din meniul AAAD dai la carstream (e prima opțiune) instalezi carstream din AAAD și asta e tot. Te conectezi cu telefonul la android auto și o sa îți apară car stream cu iconit de yt și o sa îți meargă video pe navigatie. AAAD tre sa il descarci ca apk de pe net :d

Nu e tocmai ieftin dar pastrezi in totalitate multimedia original si functiile acestuia, in plus este compatibil fara nicio alta improvizatie cu sistemul audio premium CANTON, etc. Intradevar si un sistem Android de calitate are avantajele lui.

Thank you for the information, and the guide!❤ I have Octavia VRS 2014, and just installed this module today. All works fine, just that the music/source stops every time you switch from the car to the added module/multimedia, once you press the "Media" button. So you have to choose "Bluetooth" when on the car's original multimedia, and when you press the button to swich to the module, then the music plays. So in general the "Media" Button switches the audio source every time it is pressed. Second inconvinience person s that whennyou switch off the engine, whithout removing the key, the module stops, so the power to it is cut. Other then these two side issues, it all works. 😊

Hello. The car on which I installed the module did not have the original reversing camera, so I cannot tell you clearly if the original camera works or not. Theoretically it should work, the important thing is that it switches automatically when you go into reverse gear. You may have to put a cable from the positive wire of the reversing lamp, so the module knows when to switch to the reversing camera.

Thank you for the video explaining these devices. There is little information available (even from supplier) on how these devices work and operate. Question: can this unit work with factory Golf 7 reverse camera and front aftermarket camera? example, reverse gear selected, factory reverse camera on screen, when drive/forward gear selected, the screen switch to aftermarket front camera. Has this been tested?

Hello Adrian, I ordered the camera and the module from your link. I didn't have a camera on my Skoda Octavia before. Now I have installed the module and connected the camera to the “Rear CVBS” output. When I put my car in reverse only the original Parkpilot screen appears but my camera doesn't work. When I connect the camera to the "Front Camera" or "AV" connection I see the image. Do I have to code my Skoda's reverse camera first for it to work or do I have the wrong setting? Thanks for the video! I tried to install the module in an Octavia mk3 2014 with Amundsen MIB(1). When testing the screen remained blank and the radio was playing the station it was set to before I started. After removing the module and returning to the orginal sittuation I realised I did not test with the engine running. Is this required? Is the module only starting with the engine running? And therefore it is normal the screen remains blank when the engine is not running?

Hi, I installed the module like one month ago and can confirm: the module is only powered when the ignition is turned on. Besides from that you have to set "aux" as the media input. When switching to the module by holding the media button, make sure you do not do this while in media tab, as holding the media key while in the tab is also the hotkey for switching the input.

@@andreasn3995 Thanks for your reply. But my module seems to have a more stuborn problem. The OEM display remains blank. I do not see anything, not even the display of the original OEM functionality. Also the buttons on the OEM unit are not working. The steering wheel buttons are still working. I can control the audio from the OEM unit this way and I can change stations and sources this way for example. But the screen doesn't show anything. I tried the various dipswitch settings and restarted the car after every change. I double checked all connections severeral times and all Is connected as indicated in the intstructions. I seriously suspect I have a faulty module.

@@evandenboom OK. Regarding the switches it should be the same configuration as in the video just with switch 5 off instead of on. As everything is working but the display with the buttons it has to be either a faulty module or faulty cables. You could try asking the vendor to send you a new set of cables. Or you just send back the module and buy a new one.
