Installing reversing camera from AliExpress to Skoda (VW). What can go wrong? Is it any good?

Use VCDS or any other software for adaptation. Or send it back to seller and buy the one that doesn't need coding.

Legend! Using this tutorial fitted it within 2hours in my Octavia! Most likely would have figured it out on my own but then it would have cost me a week or two😂 did you notice a high pitch sound for one or two second when you start the car? I have noticed it now once on twice, lets see if it is persistent

I get the beep, when car is in reverse. Otherwise, no trouble...

Hi! First of all, thank you very much :). Helped me alot. Unforunately, my camera doesn't appear to work properly, as sometimes has noise and half the picture is cropped. Furthermore, let me ask you if you had DTCs after this? I have 2 minor DTCs, one 'Radio' and another 'Undefined Control Module'.

Hello. No since I have installed it and until now I didn't have any trouble or fault codes. I don't know how to help you with this. I assume it could be s faulty kit. Can you get hold of the seller?

@ Well. it is what it is. Had so much effort to mount the camera and wiring it from the back to the front. Not interested in doing it again. I'll rely on the back parking sensors 🥲. Thanks!

My Sharan had a camera installed originally by manufacturer. It was a better one for the reasons described in this video. If you want to by aftermarket like this Chinese, I would expect that installation would be pretty similar. Camera should fit, but please check dimensions of a replacement handle.

I can not guarantee, but I would imagine if Kamiq comes with rear parking sensors, it should work..
