This is a set of pics from the install of these pieces from Maxton Design. They are well thought out and not super complicated to install.
I believe the splitter has improved the overall performance of the aero system. Early testing showed the diffuser also generated enough rear down force diifference that the front end would get somewhat lighter at higher speeds, say above 90 MPH.
I am able to tune the balance back in with the coilovers I have. The first time on the track I simply reduced the front compression and this worked perfectly well.
I installed the diffuser farther back. The mantra I hear for wings are higher and farther back. It probably looks a little better as Maxton does but, it will make the install a little more precise matching the pieces to the wheel openings with the rest of the pieces, center and flats. I chose to do the center portion first. Also as Maxton has it in their pictures it is likely more secure
So far so good with these pieces!
The lip depth is excellent for a car that is not a full on race car or towed to the track, which I do not do. Also the splitter like extension improves overall aero efficiency. I believe my MPG increased vs. little or partial lip as I recently had.
