Install: etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica

I put one of these Etrailer units on an 2020 E Hybrid and had to cut away some of the plastic flange on both ends for the emissions canister on the drivers side with an oscillating multitool. That was not too hard and I could do it without having to take the unit off. Without the oscillating multitool it would be a challenge to cut away material without taking it off. The directions say something about enlarging one of the holes on the drivers side of the frame rail with a die grinder. After taking some measurements I determined that was not necessary and it wasn't. This video certainly made the process easier but I wouldn't call it easy.

Why didn't you cut the panel from where the hitch came through instead of cutting the long hole to it? That would be cleaner... I'm getting U-Haul to do it and a little nervous about it.
