Like the fixed end leaf spring mounting. Cut the frame off in front of the steering box, used angle iron to fab rectangle tubing to match existing frame size. 57 chevy pu front axle and springs. I worked at NAPA, I think the outer bearing for the car was different from the truck. Swapped the car stuff to the truck spindles, everything bolt on. Ran a piece of tubing to the right wheel cross steer. Worked great. Want that car back so bad. That was 1971. I was 20yrs old and fearless.

That is a slick straight axle setup. With your welds that bad boy won't move ever. The whole front suspension looks killer and you just might need them spacers. Once everything is settled might need another inch of attitude. Quality presentation as always BW👍 Have a good one Buddy🇺🇸

I failed to mention, the motor mount bar holds either a Big Block Chevy or Small Block Chevy. Ours has the 468BBC 😀

I used the Speedway kit for my 57 Chevy gasser. I left the stock frame in place. Love your KZbin channel. I plan on starting one on my gasser build in the very near future. “Gasser Dave”. My first try, so I’ll let you know.. lol

@@bwsgarage No maybe one day I will figure out how to do that. My car is in primer and paint ready all i have to do is spray it. But it is to hot right now I will have as much sweat on it as paint. shooting for next month.

Great build! Are the welds mig’d or tig’d?

The frame kit was welded on with mig. Most of the body welds are also mig plug weld. I have some brackets and body panel work that I tig welded.

Hey, thanks for checking out the video/channel. The brake lines on the frame package came with the kit from Nickeys. The custom lines ran throughout the car are custom made by a close friend of mine. We got the stainless lines and fittings off Amazon. ✌

The lines come in a coil that we measured cut and flared.

Where did you get the dog house hinges?

I assume you are asking about the hinges for the tilt. I fabricated them and a machinist buddy made me a set of bronze bushings, bored a hole in the square stock and pressed them in. It rotates on a 5/8" shoulder bolt. Pretty sure you can find the video that shows it in detail in my videos.

Installed and rolling in 4 hours, if you can weld, and follow mechanical instruction its that fast. Proven and safe

Going to install this in a 57 ford. OMG there is something out there that is not the same old same old let’s build a Chevy gasser tri five on you tube , you could be made to believe that nothing can be done unless it’s a tri five car these days , but believe it or not there was a lot more built back in the day than just a tri five Chevy. Love your car project and it is looking Great But can’t wait to get my fairlane finished and give a old new flavor to the people at car shows. It’s harder to get build info but in the End the reward is great for being different than the same old same old. The other 57. Just sad that the bone head Biden and company will do all it can to make sure we never drive these cars on the road again, under the umbrella of global warming. Truly sad times we are witnessing.
