The following statement breaks down in simplest form how to install this kit:
1. The original Subaru hose from the crankcase vent to the intake manifold is removed, then the open port at the manifold is connected to Port 1 on the AOS, and the open port on the crankcase is connected to Port 2 on the AOS.
2. The original Subaru hose from the crankcase vent to the intake tube before the turbo is removed, then the open port at the intake tube is connected to Port 3 on the AOS, and the open port on the crankcase vent is connected to Port 4 on the AOS.
What is an Air Oil Separator?
An AOS catches any excess oil that is forced in to the intake system, and routes it back in to the crankcase of your engine.
The system is closed loop and maintenance free, unlike a catch-can.
