I actually sent a message to you concerning installation difficulty. After seeing this video I can see that it is quite possible to do this at home. So I will be 'coming off the wallet' soon! Great stuff guys! I'll be sure to let you know how it works out once installed.

I purchased the intimidators and Progressive Springs for the front end of my 13 Roadglide Ultra. I like the results but wish it was stiffer. I still get decent break dive.
@DKCustomProducts7 ай бұрын
There are two things to look at: 1. Was the right fluid used, and the right amount used. Those will have a significant effect on brake dive reduction. 2. Was the spacer cut down? A slightly longer spacer will make it stiffer. Also, if the wrong fluid or not enough fluid was used, that will have an effect on the stiffness. Always feel free to email or call with any questions. You should be having much less brake dive than previously. Support@DKCustomProducts.com 662-252-8828 KP

So put the intimidator in and then the fluid.I think I got it.I’ll be using straight rate springs.

I’ve seen a couple videos now of fork removal on road glides. I wish someone would do a road king with the Nacelle and spot lights. Intimidating to me. I’m not afraid to take a engine apart but thinking about taking it to a shop for fork work

I am sure that would make for a good video! I do not blame you for thinking about taking it to a shop. I failed to cycle it to get the damper rod full. However, everything seems to be working okay. Any suggestions on my "fail?" Any safety concerns for my mess-up?
@DKCustomProducts5 ай бұрын
Not cycling it means that there is a possibility that the correct amount of fluid is not in the fork. If there is too much oil, there is a possibility of blowing the seals and hydraulic locking. If there is not enough oil then what oil is there could froth up and cause the intiminator valving to not work properly. You can be low on fluid and everything can work fine...but you never want to have too much oil in there. What is the correct tool you didn’t have in your shop? Reassembly of the fork looked like a pain, but possibly easier with the correct tools? I’d like to do this to my road glide by myself.
@DKCustomProducts7 ай бұрын
There are quite a few tools available out there. Below is a link to a fork clamp, many use a bench vice with a towel, this tool is a bit safer. www.jpcycles.com/product/jims-fork-leg-and-tube-holder-tool?sku_id=10248979 And here is a link to a tool that makes putting the cap back on easier. www.jimsusa.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/5821-IS.pdf The more pre-load you want (and Nathan wanted a good amount) the more force is needed to compress the spring while threading the cap.

Couple questions for you @DKC..... Do I need to modify my spacer as well, and my manual states to replace all of the washers etc. but I don't remember hearing you guys mention. Please advise... I'm about to dive into this project while both fairings are off. Thanks!
@DKCustomProducts4 ай бұрын
If you are looking for a firmer more aggressive ride you would want to leave your spacers longer. If you are looking for a softer plusher ride you would want to cut the spacer down a little. Here is a video and at the 3:49 mark Kevin talks about the spacers - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZorIp6aJjs6sp9k Please feel free to reach out with any questions; Support@DKCustomProducts.com 662-252-8828 Thank you for commenting! @@DKCustomProducts Thank you! What about a rebuild kit that I'm seeing in other videos? I have a used 2012 Ultra Classic with about 25k miles.
@DKCustomProducts4 ай бұрын
It is not going to hurt to use the rebuild kit to put in new seals...it is not something we do on the regular...but on a 12 year old bike it is a good idea, and if you have any weeping of fluid on your forks, then absolutely do it. KP
