Love how light it is and how much room it gives back to the bed of the truck!

I love how easy it is to get all of the bed space back. The old hitch was far too much work and weight to easily move it in and out of the truck.

I really like the idea of that Andersen Bed shaft. I'm hoping to add one of those.

We felt like since it is literally made for the hitch, and that pin fits perfectly in there, that it was the best call. So far it has been amazing. I’m glad we went that route. How long have you guys had an Andersen?

@@Markhamsonthemove We've had the 2nd gen model for over 2 years. We just upgraded to the 3rd gen.

@@rvfamilylife do you like the 3rd more or less so far? I know there’s not many BIG differences, but it’s fun to see people’s perspectives
@rvfamilylife8 ай бұрын
@@Markhamsonthemove a lot more. the size difference really helps. And the build quality is greatly improved.

@@rvfamilylife okay that’s awesome to know as well. I know it’s 6” less bed space used, and 1” taller at the lowest ball setting. So far we have better bed clearance and a FAR better ride than the old Curt built hitch.

I just bought the hitch for my Ram 3500 with a Rhino liner also. I am going to Lowe's to get a dense rubber mat. I have seen this a couple of times now. Thanks

@@stephendudka6192 I can’t imagine you’d need more than a stall mat or something kind of a thin dense rubber.

@@stephendudka6192 one thing we did learn is we sit taller than our fifth wheel hitch did. So make sure you check that after!

@@Markhamsonthemove I will do that, we have a new truck so I dont have a reference to what it was exactly with the B&W on rails. I will hope for the 5-7" most recommend.

@ oh dang! That’s not bad! I meant it as overall height. We sat at 13-8 so had to lower pin box. Good luck with that, and congrats on the new truck!

I see you may have a matt under the hitch. Did it twist when you used it?
@Markhamsonthemove25 күн бұрын
@@stephendudka6192 so we never let it get far enough to possibly twist when we pulled with it. I threw a rubber mat we had with us underneath it and it’s been amazing for us. Without the Matt we have rhino liner down, but I didn’t want to risk it.

I would torque all three bolts to 70 ft lbs.

Eh yeah we want to follow their specs and recommendations. At 60 ft nothing moved on us.
