⠀⠀
This huge galaxy drawing is one of two! Our position in the universe is laid before us as we are made more aware of our physicality and scale in the presence of two dramatic galaxy murals, one an inverse of the other, each comprising fifty elaborately executed drawings. Here, our Assistant Registrar closely examines the condition of each paper panel before handing them off to our Chief Preparator and Museum Technician for installation-using magnets and a carefully laid out grid on our gallery wall. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Funding for this exhibition is made possible by Tatiana and Robert Dotson, Carolina and Tom Gildred, Sheryl and Harvey White, the Tourist Office of Spain, Viasat, the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture, and the members of The San Diego Museum of Art.⠀⠀
