TT crash bars don't fit the GSA model? That's what i've been told by other GSA owners.

You guys really gloss over how difficult it can be to access and install the nuts on the bracket. I've removed the left side fairing, and didn't give myself enough time because of how easy it looks in your video. Now my bike is pieces overnight. If somethings going to be tough, PLEASE just let us know so we can budget time for it. The lower crash bars had the same problem with access on the small bolt connecting the two sides. Things are allowed to be difficult, don't gas light us on how difficult something actually is.

Sorry to hear that the installation is giving you trouble. We certainly aren't trying to misrepresent anything on these install videos, it took me longer to remove and reinstall the body work than it did to install and tighten those bolts on the front bracket while we were filming this. I hope you have better luck when you find the time to get back out and finish up the install.

​@@TouratechUSA I'm happy with the product, it's installed but the clearances were not friendly to a single person installing the bracket, the rubbers on the skid plate were impossible without modification, and the cross bar on the lower plate had to be done first and then the whole set slid up to to mount to the frame. These aren't issues, I just wish there was more warning in the videos was all.

Hi! I got my 750gs 40th anniversary with the upper crash bars intalled from the dealership on September ‘21. Really nice look. Last weekend had a minor drop (sand) into the break side and days later find out that the bars where no longer symmetrical (break side is now closer to the body and clutch side is farder). Looks like the parts that mount to the engine bent, is this even posible? I mean, it was a really easy drop 😅. If it is, would you recommend unmount the crash bars and unbend the mounting points? Regard!

This is certainly possible. The mounting points are designed to bend before they do damage to the bike where they are mounted. I would start by loosening the hardware and trying to adjust the fit slightly. If that won't do it you can try to re-bend the brackets or replace the individual bent parts.

can i also put some coppergrease on the M12 socket cap bolt in stead of engine oil?

Yes, certainly. It just needs something to lubricate the threads.

Seems like you can just install the bracket to the subframe without taking it all apart. This job could be done in 20 minutes.

It is possible but the area is very difficult to see and reach so we recommend removing the fairing especially if it's the first time you have installed this part. Now if you are a professional who installs these in a well stocked shop regularly you could probably save time with a shortcut like that.

After putting on the bracket, the holes that attach the bars to the subframe on each side of the bike (750GS)are about 1/4 inch off. I was able to eventually attach the throttle side, but the clutch side I’m not able to attach to the bike. I’ve spent about 4 hours on this project. Beyond frustrating.

Sorry to hear that it's giving you trouble. The 750GS requires an 11mm spacer on the horizontal bolt on the steering head bracket, if that spacer is missing it would push everything too far back. Make sure that all the bolts are LOOSE while you are lining every thing up, maybe the bracket at the steering head is tightened down a little crooked. @@TouratechUSA Thank you for your reply. After think about it most of last night, I concluded it was the spacer. Ian touched on the spacer being used for the 750, but never said got into details. That was unfortunate for me, since I was not smart enough to figure it out "from the jump". Once I undid every from yesterday, I used the longer bolt (that was not mentioned either in the video), with the spacer. After those two moves, I was able to successfully install the upper crash bars. I would add, that on the throttle side, Ian said you could kind of just move the faring out of the way to screw in the bolt. That absolutely did not work for me. I had to loosen the right side body panel, to get to that bolt. The bars look great after getting them on.

Thanks for the question. It is very unlikely that those bars will work together. The Touratech upper bar is usually only designed to work with the BMW or Touratech lowers.

You make it all look so simple. I am trying to fit these on my F750GS now and that centre bracket is a complete [swearword] to fit. I also have the BMW aux lights bracket fitted and this does not play well with the crash bar centre bracket. I am faced with making a choice over which one I want to keep and which I am going to have to remove.

Yeah, those bolts on the center bracket are fiddly to reach but you will get it. Take a look at our part number 045-5200 to see if they will help you re-mount the lights.

Is the new motor mount bolt (M12x110) made of 10.9 steel? Do you recommend lubricating the left one a little too? Thank you so much

The new bolt is zinc coated but I don't know the grade. The lube is mostly applied to stop potential corrosion since it is replacing a very high grade stainless bolt. Lube certainly won't hurt on the left side bolt but it isn't necessary.

Hi, today I tried to install lower and upper bars. Very well packed, high quality solid pieces, on time delivery, thanks! However, Upper bars; I couldn't find a way to insert M8x65, keyless ignition hub is not allowing, what is the solution ??? If you need, I can provide pictures, I assume I am not the only one with this problem . Lower bars were easy to install, left and right bars connection point is very tricky. I dropped 2 times small pieces inside the engine, and only the way to find them was removing one side of the bar installation, anyhow took time but solved. Suggest you to find an easier way.

Hi, have you somehow solved the problem of upper bars? I've just installed the lower ones and had no problem with them. Now I'm considering buying the upper bars but have the keyless ignition and don't know if to take them or not.
