I really wish you all the best. But here a little bit of difference in my opinion is that we can prefer a good top box but saddle bags instead of panniers. Still it's personal.choice. life is a little bit easier on soft trails or potholes on roads.

Agree, overall weight with fully loaded luggage and pillion can go up to 330-340 kg, which is too much. IMO, bike rides are best done without pillion and moderate amount of luggage (up to 30 kg). Above that, it just becomes a chore to manage all the luggage, not to mention the significant performance drop. If I had to carry an obscene amount of luggage, I'd just go by car.

@@2WheelsAndRackets I used to feel the same way looking at the cumbersome panniers. Instead got GIVI monokey fiber box installed on the bike (so that I have one locked box for safety at stopovers for valuables) and use saddle bags in case of falls etc. Biggest advantage of this is the weight saving, added only 4.5 kgs of luggage dry weight and pretty light saddle stays. Now with all the set up my 390 ADV still weighs about 180 kg kerb.

So 17 kgs for empty panniers and top box, what is laden capacity for panniers and top box deep.. I mean won't it put much weight at rear with hard panniers...Off roading wld be bit difficult i guess once fully loaded.. On tarmac it wld be more comfortable specially for the pillion with top box as the back support...🙂👍
