Do you just fill the main tank and it’ll transfer over or does it have a fuel cap inside the truck above the tank?

If one of the other commenters is to be believed, you fill both from the same fuel filler,so I guess it gets in the other tank by gravity, but needs to be pumped over to the main tank.

@@troy3456789 yeah, I mean he showed the button to transfer fuel from the secondary tank to the primary tank, but he never showed how the secondary tank is filled. When I was 16 the guitarist in my band had a VW something similar to a Jetta, but it had two tanks and the fillers were side by side behind the fuel door. I’m presuming it’s setup like that.

No change in suspension is needed unless you plan on using armor, Jerry cans, spare tire mount, fridge, etc.

How has it affected your mpg? How far can you now go on a single fill-up and would you recommend it?

Range with auxiliary tank should be around 400-500.

Should be more, my 2015 f150 5.0 has a 36 gallon and I get close to 600 on a full tank on the highway

How does it work when filling up? Do you wait until both main and Aux tank are near empty and just fill it up normally?

You fill up as normal until the gas pump gun stops, bother tanks fill up evenly at the same time.

No. you can get it fabricated if you want the extra protection but it’s not needed because the auxiliary tank itself is steel.

It’s possible! Ofc you’d have to watch your transmission due to the weight of the auxiliary tank but yes you can :)
