Installing 2022 Can-Am Defender Promount Snow Plow Kit

Just ordered this same set up. Thanks for the part numbers. Install looks simple enough. Will I need a second person to install the blade?

I had to ask the missus to come out and help me put on the springs to the blade, probably 30 seconds worth of help, otherwise it's a 1 person job.

Do you use a limit switch to prevent the winch from pulling too far and damaging something?

No i don’t but I did notice Can-Am selling a limit kit for 150$, probably not a bad idea depending on your usage, you pull it up more often. Dunno if it’s something I would look into.

Maybe THIS is my problem. I have snapped the steel cable so many times. I’ve been blaming a “bad rewind” which created kinks in the cable. Maybe better with a synthetic cable? The only variation I have is a larger roller which was installed.

Did you find the 66” blade to be a good size fit for the machine? Or would you go to the 72” if you could go back?

I did not run into any issues with the 66. I was told initially that I « needed » a 72, but even when at an angle, the 66 worked fine and overall worked better I thought when working in tight spaces. If I had a larger/longer driveway maybe i would consider a 72.
