You should have cleaned the injector seats and put new injector seals in as you're refreshing it all. You can do that whenever really as its right in front of you but as its still semi stripped down, it would be a nicer job. Wicked video though mate, a lot of detail not skipped out so its very engaging

Absolutely mental project! Love that you took this on with no experience, but documented the whole thing for us to see. Those dodgy engine internals at the start had me worried, but the dry ice blasting looks like it came up a treat! Fitting a K20 into a Jazz is no easy feat, and the bit where you forgot the earth wire nearly had me in stitches Cracking work on figuring it all out though, and that first splutter of life from the engine must have been amazing! Properly earnt that celebratory high five (even if it was a bit awkward). Can't wait to see the rest of the build process and how this thing performs on the Nurburgring! Subscribed and looking forward to the next episode.

Perhaps there could be room in the rear subframe for electric power on the rear wheels? Maybe not a huge heavy battery - just enough to last for 20 seconds of full power in a timed run, and it would save you a lot of fuel in normal use by regenerating braking energy into acceleration out of the corners. I believe the rear coil spring position on this Mk 2 version is not adjacent to the hubs, so driveshafts from the spare wheel tub area would fit easily (unlike the Mk 3 where the rear coils are next to the hubs).

I would love to see one of those spoon type body kits on this 👌 Maybe a short shift kit 🤔 Definitely try and get some recaros for it honda styled interior 👍 Another thing you should consider an oil filter relocation kit (move the oil filter to the front) Maybe a JDM styled front oil cooler hanging out of the front bumper 🤤

Alrite mate, loving the engine swap! We've just had a type r but it was a complete rust bucket so we sold it, but then got thinking of maybe swapping a k20 into my ford capri! This is my personal account but we do have a channel ourselves so would probably be doing it on there, what I wanted to ask was what did you have to buy with the engine to get it running? Loom, ecu, key, clocks?? We're also going to petrolheadonism next month 😊

It’s good in a way that you changed the oil filter when it was in the car, as it could have otherwise been the case that when you came to change the oil for the first time the filter wouldn’t come off without engine coming out 😂
