Hi thank you for doing this guide! I’m looking to purchase the co2art kit but I don’t know where to buy a compatible tank for it. I live in the US, can you please let me know where I can get an affordable tank? Thanks!
@ThereseNeal3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! So sorry I am late to reply, looks like I've missed several questions this year.. For a tank, you have a few options. You can shop online, keg or home brew kits for beer is one search. Amazon does also have sellers for empty tanks. You could also use soda stream or paintball bottles, though our regulator would require and adapter for those types. My fave place, and where I go for my needs, is my local fire extinguisher service company. Here, they service city offices and more, they will test tanks and fill them and they also offer fully tested, filled recycled tanks in a variety of sizes. If you cannot find one for your area, you could also look for a larger commercial filling company, like Airgas, where you can exchange tanks, sort of like propane tanks. Higher purchase for the first one, then swap out for an equal sized one as needed for a smaller fee.. Hope this still helps you! Just be sure the tank is for your region and matches the regulator threads, for us that is the CGA320 thread type.

[Edit: Your latest video answered my question, haha! I like the o-rings way better… so far] Mine didn’t come with nylon washers. I got rubber o-rings. Is this instead, or do I still need to use nylon washers? It does have a much bigger groove than normal, that the o-ring actually snaps into.
@ThereseNeal2 жыл бұрын
Yes we changed the washer style about a year ago. The black ones are the right ones for the current models

Good instructional video. I'm looking to start using Co2 and have narrowed my selection down to Co2Art Pro-Elite and GLA Pro-DS...what's your experience with GLA products, warranty and customer service compared to Co2Art? Thanks

Sorry I missed your comment and question. I do have experience with GLA, their product was my favorite and I recommended them until I started using the co2art Pro Elite. Once I set my Elite up, I sold off my beloved GLA. to say one is better than the other is difficult, really. They both work wonderfully. For the price point, Co2art for the win! As far as customer service, I am part of the customer service team now for Co2art and I think I do a pretty damn good job!

Regulator is awesome, bubble counter not so much. It's plastic and tends to leak co2 and water if you don't use plumber tape when adding more water(weekly)...
@urbansk8r231 Жыл бұрын
Hi, I have pro SE series CO2art regulator. how do you purge the excess co2 out of regulator when bottle is empty. Cause i heard you can blow the gauges if you have left over co2. Thankyou.
@ThereseNeal Жыл бұрын
When you need to change the tank out, close the main valve on your co2 tank. Then power on the solenoid, whether you have your bubble counter still connected to the tubing or removed, you can purge the gas by opening the bubble counter valve. It's faster if you have the bubble counter removed, you can hear the gas escaping. If you would rather do this when the regulator is not connected to the tank, you can. Just hold the regulator while you plug in the power to the solenoid, and the same thing. Open the bubble counter valve to allow the gas to escape from that valve. Once the gauge moves to zero on the working pressure (second gauge) then the gas is purged.

@ThereseNeal4 жыл бұрын
Hi. If you want to add on to the SE, you'll have to find your own parts since we do not build it for multiple manifolds. The thread size we use is 1/8 NPT.

First gauge by the solenoid is not working it just stopped one morning. I only used it for one month.. What could be the problem I have C02 i checked.
@ThereseNeal3 жыл бұрын
So that could be a few different things. Do you hear the click from the solenoid when the power goes on, along with the red light? If that is ok, you can check the first stage area fir anything inside that might cause blockage, check out our support pages for the steps on how to access the first stage. It'll be in the FAQ section
