Just a suggestion, you'll get a cleaner look if you just pop the A pillar cover off and run of the cable down behind it.

As if it's that easy! I thought there was gonna be a lot of messing about! Will be doing this at some point 😎 thanks for the tutorial!

R23 OWL yeah it really is. As I say if u have ignition only you can leave plug in and not bother with the kit. But it does free up the port and looks cleaner.

@@FF04ORD that's what I'm after the clean look 👍🏻

Where did you wire in the rear camera to? 3rd brake light or rear brake light? How do you find the placement of the reversing camera. Decent reversing view. Was thinking of placing mine just above numberplate between its lights. But I think feeding wires through boot lid might be a nightmare. Any links to any guides or ideas would be a big help

Damian Morris-Hallam the rear camera is part of the dash cam, the wire goes to a port on the cam. I only use it as a rear cam and not a reversing cam. I got the placement by sitting in the back seat with the cam lol not sure about wiring through the boot sorry unless you go through the black rubber wire loom thingy that connects your electrics to the boot? 🤔

Awesome video hardwired my dashcam works but sometimes doesn't work checked the dashcam its fully working checked wiring seams to be fine I dont know why its playing up any ideas

It doesnt work as theres no power? could be anything from faulty cables to faulty fuse port. Could see if theres a firmware update for the dashcam too

tf2 gaz hi, sorry this video/link been up for some time.. it looks like they’ve change the listing I do apologise! I’ll remove the link. It’s called a fuse tap. You ll need to find a metal bullet connector and then it will just push into this.. or you can try and just crimp the wire as is. Hope this helps ebay.us/XX5b5U - note this ones from Hong Kong lol

So did you not need a fuse to run it just using the fuse slot ?
@FF04ORD2 жыл бұрын
No it was the towing fuse slot.. which obviously which won’t be used. So didn’t have to piggyback of something else
@joecowley10375 жыл бұрын
Is it a mini blade that’s connected into the fuse box
@FF04ORD5 жыл бұрын
Joe Cowley it’s a fuse piggyback wire basically with Two pins - like a fuse and a cable to female bullet end? I think it’s called? at the other end. Hope this helps
@joecowley10375 жыл бұрын
FF04ORD oh right I have seen people talking about piggy back fuses just never really looked them up, I need to run a ignition live to my heated seats and want to sort them, yes it looks like a female bullet end, I’ll have to get one an the place where you’ve plugged the piggy back fuse from is an ignition live ain’t it? what kind of wiring have you used? just standard wites
@joecowley10375 жыл бұрын
FF04ORD what fuses have you put in the piggy back fuse as there isn’t an original fuse where you have put it
@FF04ORD5 жыл бұрын
Joe Cowley it all came as a kit for the dash cam. I think the fuse was a 10amp. You can buy the piggy back sections anywhere. But as heated seats are more powerful best finding out what amp rating they need. The fuse I used I know is an ignition live. Best using a free port if possible so technically your not piggybacking

Quite good video and you explained it understandable. But the smack with your tongue in every sentence is annoying. Maybe drink a glass of water, before filming
