that ignition works great , no points to look after for, better spark , you don't have any more hassle with adjusting the ignition while starting and while driving !, that carburetor is also a more modern one ? so you don't have any hassle with adjusting mixture when the engine is running then with cold engine the choke ? is it much more powerful now too ?

Are you happy with the way it’s running? I have a 1930 Model A Coupe, with a Model B ‘32 Engine, with a Lyon Speed Head, and Mallory Ignition. But, I still using points. Your car, Looks and runs great!

Thanks! Yes I love the way this distributor makes my model a run. No more adjusting the timing while driving . No more points to adjust

But the timing lever doesn’t apply to a Model B, the timing on my Model B Engine is different than a Model A. This makes it a little different and more drivable, too.

Since they say no stock wiring is used how do you hook up the ammeter to the ignition switch?

It hooks up the same with the wiring that’s on the new distributor . When you remove the old distributor all that wiring attached to it comes out too

The dash wiring from the ammeter has a red wire that goes to the ignition switch. If that wire is not used then I’m not understanding how the ammeter works.

@@spallatial yeah it’s still used it’s the other wiring from your ignition switch to your distributor/coil that’s new FSI has a diagram on their website you can download to explain it better

What kind of Carburetor Kit are you using?

Sorry just now seeing this comment. I'm using a Stromberg 97 carb gravity fed from the tank . The car did have a electric fuel pump but it was putting out close to 7 pounds of fuel pressure so i ended up removing it.

How did u attach the new shaft? Did you have to drill a hole in it and the distributor shaft and roll pin it?

It’s slotted and seats in there

The FSI kit came with the long shaft I believe you have to tell them to add the new shaft when ordering

Is it still 6v or 12v

it's still 6v they make distributors for both 6 and 12 volt
