I am personally not a fan of rear seat delete but that's the beauty of cars , you can make them what you like. And the install has been done well.

You got that right! Thanks for watching anyways 🤙🏽

Usually i'm a fan of rear seat deletes, but this one through me off for some reason. Think it looks a bit awkward with no cage

Hey great video and love the clean look! I've completed the rear seat, console delete on my E92 M3 and i ordered the same E90 rear console cover, however its not plug and play 💁 what did you have to do to make it fit?

The e90 rear console mod is slick. Good call on that. Delete looks great. Only part I don't love is the flex in the angled sheet metal where the screws go in. I feel like that could be cleaned up by the kit's manufacturer in some way as well as maybe a larger standoff for the vertical part of the rear seat so the angle lines up with the grey trunk liner. Or they could sell an additional trim piece for that that covers it with the kit. Seems like a tiny revision to the kit by the manufacturer would make it 100% perfect. Sounds like yours was the first prototype kit they made for an e92 without a roll bar so it would make sense to revise it before producing more of them.

I’m actually going to remake those trim pieces in metal. That’s how my M4GTS was. It will work much better. I’m assuming manufacturer used plastic because the metal would increase price a bit

@@ThicWhips Dope! Some titanium super high end finishing screws/bolts would also look sick too. Like race car jewelry. Just those fine finishing details and that setup is going to be perfection.

Would u ever go back to the oem comp wheels???

I’d rather buy a set of forged comp reps. Lighter, wider and better offset

That gap between padding an the sheet showing the grey carpets will is disappear with the half cage mounted?
@ThicWhips Жыл бұрын
I’m not sure. I’m going to use extra alcantara to fill that gap

@@ThicWhips Thanx. It looked good otherwise with those trim pieces. Had another in mind but it doesn't look as OEM or sturdy as the one you have.
@ThicWhips Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s solid man, im quite happy with it. I may use metal rather than plastic on the trim pieces just give it a more refined / solid look. But the plastic does the job for now
@ReggieNoble637 Жыл бұрын
I get the decision for the rear seat delete especially if there's a real lack of utility. But unless your building a race spec I feel it's unnecessary. Still appreciate making it your own.
