Thanks for the tight editing and lack of fluff! Most tutorial videos either show too much, have too much of an intro, or have a ton of rambling. I normally hate following video tutorials because the information is presented so slowly compared to just reading it. Your video didn't make me feel thay way at all, which is rare and appreciated.

I try to always cut to the middle and then cut from the other direction back to the middle. This helps me to not cut outside the box and mess up the wall.

Can you connect a different type of a more open type of wall plate that will connect to the bracket for multiple low voltage cables?

Most people run the low voltage 6" to 1' away from high voltage (50v+) to avoid signal interfere

While this results in a clean appearance, it leaves a bigger hole in the drywall than what is needed for a coaxial cable. This introduces air leaks and paths for insects. What are other options for a clean coaxial installation that has better seals? Or do gaskets exist for these boxes?

Hi, there are solid covers that have a coax coupling without any gaps. Check out more home improvement tips in our e-books www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2KW1FQ9?notRedirectToSDP=1&.

Do you have recommendation for what kind of plate of box for speaker wire? Should I use low voltage or standard boxes?
@FIXITHomeImprovementChannel14 күн бұрын
Hi, both will work well for speaker wire, giving you a frame to put a cover on. Check out some home improvement tips in our e-books www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2KW1FQ9

The screws in the carlon low voltage boxes are too tight. I cant get them tight before I push the box thru the drywall. They are too tight. Anyone else have this problem. Cant use my power screwdriver since it damages the screw head...

Hi, try holding the ears that swing out and turn the screw with a screwdriver to loosen it up before you put it behind the wall. If that doesn't work, I would return it for a new one and tighten down the screw first, then unscrew it before you use it.
@lorenfizzard92293 жыл бұрын
yes, done that. takes time when you are installing a lot of boxes. Also , still doesn't loosen it much. Mfg.. has spect. the incorrect screw size for the application . Also , just returned 12 boxes back to home depot. @@FIXITHomeImprovementChannel

also, the blue boxes for high voltage does not have the screws so tight.

Hi, it's not needed, but it allows you to connect a coax cover plate or a plate like this kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2Xbm5-Fj5d6ftU
