Like the addition of the plaque and the reflectors are perfect. Great choice.

You might consider a small piece of JEEP top material sewed in a tube for your chains. It's a little more weather resistant than a cycle tube. The cycle tubes rot with uv exposure. Especially if you are going to weld the chain loop at the top. Sometimes you can find a piece already sewn up on a top bow of a jeep. It's a sleeve on the bow so that the metal bow doesn't scratch the side window on a jeep top. Beechwood makes some out of canvas which is a good option as well. Thanks for the fun. :-)

The truck keeps getting better and better. If you want to get 'full on fancy ' with the filer neck Speedway auto has some. For my 50 Ford F1 I'm using a Chevy Lov tank and the filer is off center and I'm adding a piece of filer tube like you're doing, it will stick up out of the bed a little. Here's the idea , haven't told anyone else and haven't seen it anywhere. I have a restored, guess you could use a new one, 10x10x20 hammered gray Craftsmen tool box I plan to cut a section of the bottom out and bolt in the bed over the filer neck. I figure I can even put a few tools or things in the tray and one of the box . The 'ide'er' actually came to me while watching your video on the battery box. It should look pretty good with a pad lock and some hot rod decals, moon eyes, Holley , Hooker, and such. No ugly filer cap anywhere, just a tool box set'n in the bed. If I see this anywhere before I get mine done I'll say it was stolen from me. Lol Keep up the great work , always looking forward to the next video.

I did that with a small tool box years ago in my Studebaker truck. It had the tailgate welded shut so it wasn't a problem. In this truck the tool box would be in the way when the gate is down.

QuickSpeedShop right on , I don't plan to haul anything in mine except maybe some lawn chairs and a softsided cooler for 'cold snacks'.

You are going to coat the tank before mounting it, right? How about Tygon tubing over the chains? That’s been a solution forever.

Tank is new and clean inside and only running non-ethanol gas in it so it should be fine. I only coat homemade tanks to help seal any pinholes in the welds.

QuickSpeedShop I meant coating the outside with the black stuff.
