Installing a Nguyen Works Rear Bumper to replace my WRECKED stock bumper on my 3rd Gen 4Runner

So I wrecked my old bumper. Here is the replacement! I don't think I'll be having anymore problems.
Installing the Nguyen works 96-02 3rd Gen 4runner rear steel bumper. I had this bumper custom cut by 2" to accommodate the 37" tires. I'm not sure if it's necessary but it might be wise to have the bumper cut by 1" if you are running 35" tires, especially if you have a large amount of offset or are using the factory bump stop location.

A tip for getting the nut and bolt started for the 2 holes you have to drill. Grab the correct sized box end wrench and put a piece of tape on one side so the nut doesn't just fall though. It should be pretty easy to line up with the bolt afterwards since you can now hold it in place!

Nice work! Looking real good. I’m surprised the 3rd gen doesn’t have a rear cross member like the 4th and 5th gen. That cross member is quite limiting the departure angle on newer models

There shouldn’t be a gap that big on the top frame bolt, I’d bring it up to Nguyen bros. You’re putting to much stress on the lower frame bolts

It’s going to be about 17 weeks. @amg_t4r on IG told me he paid extra to have them rush it. I was able to get mine rushed to me in 2 weeks but I’m not sure if that’s something they normally allow

It does have two recovery points but it does not have an option for a tow hitch receiver
