Anyone with children use this? WEe are building our first coop now and I worry about my kids around this. youngest is 6.

Wayne D - this is a lower voltage unit. While it does give a zap, it doesn’t really hurt. I put mine around the top of the fence line about 4ft off the ground ( I have chicken wire laid out on the ground under the fencing, this keeps critters from digging under. Between the bird-x netting over the top of the run and the hot wire, they keep the critters out. You could also unplug it when the kids are around the coop. Or put it on a timer so it’s only on at night. At least until they learn not to touch it.
