Thanks Sandy, great video. Just installed SoftStart on our brand new 2024 Wonder MBL. The installation went smoothly thanks to you showing exactly where to place the softstart and also you pointing out that the wiring attaching to the capacitor should go through the cap before attaching the connector.

Hi I've watched a few videos of yours, they've been helpful and clear. Are you available to help upgrade an Ember rv solar? Tia. Btw, I did install a soft start on my dometic ac. Not too complicated, but the solar upgrade I'm a bit hesitant about

@BigGodLife I help people DIY, I'm not an installer for hire. If your Ember has a PVC solid walkon roof, then you can use a few different videos of mine to figure out how to do your own solar. You really have distinct pieces you can do your project in so you don't get overwhelmed. The hardest part about a new solar installation is drilling a hole in the roof and running your wire to the spot you'll be mounting the solar controller, otherwise everything else is very straightforward. Truma requires the dicor sealant on all the screws to prevent water intrusion into the unit.

If the Truma Aventa can run on 15a, can it run from a 2KW inverter with SoftStartRV?

@guylafrog4193 In very hot weather it's not a good idea for long. Heat makes everything pull more power.

Does your truma ac work with the generator after you installed the softstart? I have on installed and I have no way to run it off the generator?

@stephenbaldassano3788 Sure it does, actually better off the generator because the SoftStartRV reduces the big amp spike in rush current of the Truma compressor start. If you're having trouble like that I'd say your SoftStartRV is installed correctly.
