If you wanted keyed accessories, could/would you pull your 24v hot line from the start switxh?

Having the step down converter directly wired will slowly drain the battery correct? If it's a vehicle that sets unused might want to put a switch on the console?

Awesome... I'm looking to buy a deuce or 5ton soon and I'd like to change out the lights to 12v leds and add a radio. Also this would help my school bus! Thank you!

Nice video! Have you used it with the 4L80E transmission? How do you wire it and how does it work?

I’m trying to hook up a 12volt camper trailer how would I run 12 volt to the trailer hookup
@coreym39755 жыл бұрын
Something that is puzzling me about this. Don"t you need to run a remote power line in this so there isn't constant power to everything?
@nx8fds0233 жыл бұрын
I agree. I was trying to figure out where to connect my 24V USB charger. I ended up tapping into wire 467A on light switch connector. It's the wire that supplies horn and turn signal switch.

Great video. What gauge of wire did you use for the harness?

Where does the ground from the fuse box go?
@cessna421cpilot35 жыл бұрын
Do you have to run a ground from the bottom of the fuse block back to the main ground?
@BulletmotorsportsInc5 жыл бұрын
Cessna400 Pilot yes, or to the chassis.
@jeffford44313 жыл бұрын
But running the ground to the frame would be a 24v ground correct?

@@jeffford4431 Ground has no volts

So it's a 24-12 what happens if only like 20 volts go into it, do only like 10 volts come out

No fuse protection for the converter?
@BulletmotorsportsInc3 жыл бұрын
Fuse is built into converter on side
@jacobkauffman77425 жыл бұрын
So why add that converter when you can run a wire off the 12v portion of the battery as they are wired in a series-parrallel setup. That little tag by your multimeter shows the 12v side and the 24v side? Those are 12v batteries.
@BulletmotorsportsInc5 жыл бұрын
Because doing that does not allow even distribution of the 12 volts. By using a converter you are evenly pulling from both 12 volt batteries, allowing the alternator to charge both evenly., not allowing one to draw more ensuring even longevity.

I need to do this to my JDM Land Cruiser. Problem is the previous owner did some magic to extract 12v for the head unit and the wiring is a fucking mess
