It would be hard to get paid enough for that kind of job, at least two hours and thirty minutes of driving time, 136 miles round-trip figure $40(?) in just gas, you're ambitious. Thank you for the videos. In your city do any of the residential areas have storm water drains to connect to for draining a yard? I'm thinking of those soggy house lots the developer wanted to dry out.
@eliteearthworksllc6 жыл бұрын
David Null it is some times, I was able to charge my machine from when I left the shop until I got back and another $65 for the fuel. So I will come out alright on this but no always so lucky. There are some areas in town that the yards drain to storm drains in the roads. The older part of town does not but they are starting to go back through and add it. Thank you for watching the videos, I enjoy making them and then hearing the feedback from everyone. I have met a lot of neat people from this and it’s cool to get different takes on how to approach things! Appreciate the questions and feedback. Thank you!

So, they just leave the gravel open as a filter for the storm drain or?? That excavator can pick up bigger pieces of concrete than I expected! Must have a pretty good thumb on it! Thanks for the video!
@eliteearthworksllc6 жыл бұрын
burningdinosaurs you have to fill the trench full of clean rock because it’s under a parking lot and driveway. When it’s all said and done they will pour a new sidewalk and redo the parking. The clean rock will filter the water and it doesn’t really settle. Thanks again for watching

Brian Gardiner it is screenings which is the fines in base rock. That’s what they are called here or 3/8 minus. They use them to pad around gas and water lines. It’s basically lime sand. Yes it would have been better to stay and finish up the next day. Thanks again for watching

Hello from Wisconsin, I see you have a annoying sound on you mic just like I do, but mine is a noise like, I'm going to say maybe a ground problem or maybe if i'm around electric fences with dairy, that might be some kind of interference. I just can't find it. But I don't understand the sound your getting. But anyways your video is still good in my book. Looks like you are very busy. Thumbs up to ya, my friend!Think the rain will stay away for a wile?

@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
Moto Hellion I normally use a 1992 4900 International dump truck. This video I was using my 2500 duramax cause I was about an hour from my shop and my dump truck only goes 50. I have my dump truck in a few other videos. The duramax pulls it fine but the stopping is a little harder. A 1 ton would be a lot better. Thanks for watching

@@eliteearthworksllc good to know thankyou. My big thing is staying within the weight limit so i dont have to get my cdl quite yet. And having a daily driver as well as a work truck is a big factor as well. Thoughts on gas vs diesel?
