As always thanks for sharing. It's a great advance, but your previous charger seemed to be a good one too, it's rare that it didn't work well. I thought that all the new Víctron smart chargers had the Ve direct port to wire it and link it via USB to cerbo gx or venus os, but it seems that yours have not. Mine is the previous 3 ports version and didn't have it either (but there's a hack to be done to provide it, find it in the the internet, but I didn't do it yet). I'm very happy with my Venus Os in a dedicated 2gb Pi4, it's 100% reliable and easy to install and gives a lot of of info and even some remote control as with the local console . The venus os (in its large version) has signal K and node red and I link to my openplotter installation through signal K,so I get all the info in my network. However venus os cannot get so deep into the devices as the Bluetooth app does, don't understand why. Definitely, Víctron is making a great environment. ❤

Hi, Thanks for the comments. This charger is much more efficient than the last one also silent now, so no annoying fan noise at night when its running. I've also seen the hack to get some sort of VE-direct port/comms out of these chargers but I’m also following a post over on SK Discord channel where Victron has said the BLE data instant readout will be available soon (v3.6 I think) for these chargers. If someone is then able to update the Victron-BLE plugin for SK, we should be able to get most of the data out as we do with the shunts and solar kit.

Thanks for the reply, but the ve port should be per default in new versions, at least with the 3 ports 30 amps chargers. When you mean BLE, do you mean Bluetooth? So no further need of the USB cables? I guess that for venus and settings through the remote console would still be needed. I don't understand why they don't implement all settings available in Bluetooth Víctron app into Venus Os

@bybeka1 I'm also not sure why they don't have the port. Yes BLE - Bluetooth, I now connect to all my Victron kit via Bluetooth via SignalK. I used to use the VeDirect to the shunt but not now.
